rice and green beans.  I've just found that the "old school" flat green beans are easily available in sydnye now.  Yum yum yum.  Do you have any spare stroganoff that you want to send my way?  Just what I feel like for lunch today original.gif

We love our stews served with mash. or sometimes ill put the stew in a dish, cover it with mash, and cheese and put under the grill. tastes awesome (although sounds strange LOL!)

I sometimes serve mine with potato gnocchi as a compromise between pasta and mashed potato. Very filling though.

I would definitely have it with pasta or if not, some potato mash and some other vegies like broccoli or beans. It's definitely not something to have with rice IMO.

It is actually traditionally served with fried potatoes.

When I make it though I serve it with mash and a side of green vegetables.

Mashed potato mixed with equal amount of mashed cauliflower, just folded in lightly. Sounds odd but is delicious, and reduces the total carbs of the side-dish.

Rice, without a doubt.

Now I'm sure you're 100% clear with all these agreeing opinions, lol

We used to have it with plain boiled white rice, or because it's quite a heavy meal in itself you could go with a salad and some nice crusty bread to soak up the sauce.
