They do send some random stuff for future campaigns to try and get you to sell it. They don't charge you until that campaign comes up. I got 2 big anew thingies that cost $60 to sell but didn't. They will be returned, I won't be paying for them! lol
Someone on here said you can ring them up and ask not to be sent stuff to sell.
They also give you heaps of free stuff, extra samples, stuff for just placing a few orders etc... very weird!

From what I can gather, the Reversalist stuff is $35 - it says Special Purchase next to it. The perfume and the watches don't have a price attached to it. But then neither do some of the Anew stuff.
I think I'm going to have to call my DM lol.

Ker from what I have been told is all new reps get offered the reversaist offers and are only available at time of joining which are $35 each but worth alot more, al the other products sound like freebies to me

I have 2 questions about the order I am almost ready to submit.
1. I have an order for 2 deoderants page 112 campaign 8 = any 2 for $4. They are coming up as $4.99 each in my order.
2. The cost of brochures is cheaper for a new representative. I have order brochures for C10 but they have come up at the normal price.
Should I get these fixed before I submit my order?
Posted 13 March 2012 - 08:41 PM
rachel - the advertised price for the roll ons will be charged on your statement so I assume the correct price will also apply for the brochures you are ordering.

Rachel I'd love to move further your way,I always think yeh buy further that way but change to staying here.I'm in old area near Racecourse but my territory is Lakeside, wonder if your sister is close by?
Sounds like you've got the system worked out, those prices correct themselves but it's annoying cos you can't see what proper figure you're up to.
I'm doing terrible have hardly delivered any of last lot & next orders due Mon so no time.1st had the week away.
Now DP & I have been sick, him to the point he's gone into hospital & tonight is his 2nd night,he's really bad. When will this crap ever end??I just want to get this Avon business organised & back on track.I cant believe i had a carefree life for 35yrs & copped soo much crap in 2years.Every time something happens everyone is like what??!!Not another thing??!
I still really want to do the market thing & wondering the chances you'd get caught & the consequences??!!Sooo many girls do it on ebay!!I'd rather market with other things.
Hope everyones going good

Has anyone else got the email with the $75 net pack offers??I ordered the beauty one it is unbelievable value,I'll keep a few things I want & sell the rest!
Posted 21 March 2012 - 08:15 PM
Thanks for your help with my first order ladies. It arrived yesterday and I have made my deliveries accept for one. It was nice to meet the two customers who left orders for me. I'm hoping thy become regulars. I'm going to do my first brochure drop for campaign 9 tomorrow.
Daisy how is your DP?
My sister used to live near the racecourse but moved to a new estate a couple of years ago. (not lakeside).
I got the email and have been thinking about it. I'm a bit concerned that I'm spending more on Avon than I'm making. The stuff I've bought so far has been stuff I've needed but I don't want it to end up costing me heaps. If I could sell some of the stuff in the pack it might make me feel a bit better about it.

Hey Rachel with the net offer the beauty one has the Fergie perfume which is my favorite,& the supershock Max mascara that I love, mine are both running out so that's 2 products i did want. With the rest it was all popular stuff so I thought surely I can sell it??As well as the normal brochure drop off & deliver which I've been struggling with I thought maybe I can have casual type Avon parties where a few girls (either friends or customers) can get together & buy cheap products,I've bought some cheap things from that clearance brochure & sale things in the normal brochure, but I'm on 35% so more justifiable.
I've also got the market idea still in mind!!I'm just soo tired,DP came home from hospital yesterday but having home treatment twice a day.I've still got people's orders from before I went away, one customer txt last week "Haven't heard from you!" I said how we'd been away & now had the flu,she didn't respond & I still haven't got back to her I feel like such a failure,I mean how hard is it??She lives a 3minute drive away!I'm just so unmotivated,it's freezing & I've got my period (TMI!).
I'm one of those people that has to get all dreesed up & in the zone to do stuff,I should just view it as my job but when I've got Dp & DS home I just can't be bothered. Most people would just txt her & go looking not that great & not worry,I don't know what my issue is.I think that's why I'm thinking I'll buy a heap of stuff & find a way to sell it!!
Keep your updates coming tho Rachel,it does help reading about your enthusiasm like i had at the start,I wish I could get my sh*t together!!!I could sleep for a week!!

Daisy - After reading your post I decided to jump in and order the beauty pack. If I can't sell some of it, then I just won't buy anymore of their special deals unless its really something I need/want.
Sorry to hear you are so tired. Its hard to be motivated for anything when you are exhausted. It must be tough having your DP unwell and you feeling like crap to. A walk to do your deliveries might actually help. Some fresh air and some time away from DP might re energise you a little. Maybe get your clothes out tonight (if you read this) and get up at reasonable time, dress and be out the door early. If you get it done in the morning then you have the rest of the day to rest and look after DP. Don't be too hard on yourself. it seems you've had a lot going on lately.
Are you going to the Casey Kids Day out? My sister asked me to go and we probably will.
I just dropped off about 20 brochures. I went about 7pm. It was a good time to go I think. There wasn't many people around. I'm still a bit nervous about running into people and speaking confidently about Avon so I sneak up to the front door (if there isn't a gate), drop the brochure and get out of their quick. I had two customers last campaign that weren't friends/family and I'm hoping to get at least another two this campaign. Hopefully it will start to build up with a bit of word of mouth around our little town.
I'm not picking up these brochures until Tuesday. I'm hoping that as we live in a holiday area I might catch some of the people who are only down here on weekends.
Hope everyone else is well.

Hey Rachel, thanks for the advise but I didn't read it til now!!I arranged to meet a friend at Cardinia YMCA for the pump class so that got me going cos I knew DP & her expected me to cancel, especially with this rain!!(not sure if you got it?)So I was determined to prove them wrong!
I just delivered to the girl that had text,& I've arranged a few for next week so getting there.
That beauty pack is by far the best deal they've had the whole time I've been with Avon,it averages we pay $5 per item,I think??Maybe a bit less!Mine arrived today,it's great value,a lot of it would be great gifts if you dont sell some, once you get to know people you can suss what theyre into & offer it at half the normal price,it'll still be a good price for you & them.It doesn't matter if you have to hold onto some of it for a while,I have quite a bit put aside from packs & stuff & often people order & I think yep got that in stock!
That's a great idea about leaving the brochures over the wkends to have a better chance of people coming to their holiday house, good luck, hope you get another 2 customers,it is really exciting getting new customers. If all this crap didn't happened in my life I'd still be right into it I love it & the products!
I don't know about this kids day out, what date is it??
Posted 23 March 2012 - 06:27 PM
Kids day out is tomorrow at akoonah park Berwick. Free rides and activities and shows for kids.
Will be back for a proper post soon.

I've been a bit quiet lately. Avon is just ploding along. Gives me something to do. I've now become the team leader that picks up all return from other TL and checks and repackages them for return to Avon. Will give it a few campaigns and see how it goes. It's quiet time consuming checking off everyone forms but a great way to see lots more products.
Hope you are well. Daisy how have you been?
Posted 03 April 2012 - 10:31 AM
Glad to hear you are going well Hop. I hope being a team leader works out well for you.
Thanks for asking about my pick up daisy. I have 4 new customers and the 2 from the last campaign ordered again. One ordered $120 worth. So I'm pretty happy with how this campaign went.
I will be submitting my order tonight. I live seeing the Avon box on my door. It's a bit like Christmas. Even though I won't be buying much for myself this order.
How are you going Daisy? Are you keeping up with the Avon stuff? How is your DP now?
Posted 03 April 2012 - 12:37 PM
DP is much better & back at work.
I'm still doing Avon but could be doing MUCH better!!I'm plodding along tho & the big spenders have kept me up there!!Plus I get most presents for everyone from Avon so that boosts my sales,& got the "Mum" & "Nanna" mugs for me off DS,my mum & DPs mum,&the pink polka dot nightie for my Mother's Day present. So any opportunities like that I take to keep my range in 35%.
You're doing great Hop at Team Leader,I can't even be bothered doing my returns
I started a running program on our treadmill this morning,I'm hoping it will help with energy levels & anxiety. Also my mind in fuzzy a lot of the time & they say exercise clears your mind!
Rachel it sounds like your business is taking off very quickly like mine did, that's great,it is exciting!!
Posted 06 April 2012 - 07:20 PM
Glad to hear your DP is better, Daisy. How is the running program going?
I had a $120 order from a drop off the other day which was great.
Quick question - when you deliver your orders do you leave the next brochure with the order? If so, do you tell them you'll be back to collect it on a certain day or do you ask them to ring you I they want something.
Posted 07 April 2012 - 05:20 PM
Yes I take the next brochure & tick a day on the order form saying when I'll be back.I try to make it about 5-6days & over a wkend so friends or family might be there, this sometimes works.a few I just leave the brochure, they've specifically asked it's a friends a few suburbs away
I've done my 2nd session of running,it's 3 times a week,I shouldve done one today but we were out & about,I'll get in a routine of Mon,Wed & Fri when DP is back at work after Easter. We went to a bike shop today & he put a bike on layby for me for Mothers Day,I'm very excited,I love it & want to get into going for rides together (he has a bike) when DS is at my exDH.
On Thur I actually got the brochure around to most of my regular customers & pick up Tues which is when order is due so I'm hoping a few orders for Mothers Day & I'll get into the 35%

My district manager actually rang me the other day! lol She thought she should touch base.
I keep forgetting to drop my returns around to her. I must do it by tuesday. hehe
Posted 08 April 2012 - 05:43 PM
Rachel did you get that special website order??Are you keeping any of it or have you sold any??I've sold the Fergie perfume & body lotion,& a supershock max mascara :-)
Posted 12 April 2012 - 09:46 AM
Good to hear your DM got in contact with you. Did you get those returns back to her in time Choc Addict?
Daisy - I did get the special website order. I guess I am keeping it all for myself as I haven't sold any! I have been using the glimmerstick, the bag, the mascara and the eyeshadow/lip gloss. The rest I have put aside in case someone wants it.
I received an eternal magic perfume for my first campaign as it was over $150 and I have sold that which is good.
Thanks for the answering my question. I didn't want to seem too pushy if I keep leaving brochures but I guess they always have the option to say no.
I am hanging out for my order to arrive. I ordered last Tuesday and with Easter it still hasn't arrived. Hopefully today. My parents are taking my kids for a couple of nights so I will have plenty of time to get my orders out. I felt like Christmas when my first ordered arrived!
Hope everyone is well.
Posted 12 April 2012 - 09:12 PM
Nope, didn't get the returns to her. But that is ok cos I stuffed up my order and have more stuff to return! lol
In the C9 campaign I miss read the instructions on the Mother day offer with the five products for $30. I read it as needing to put in the individual codes not just the code of the foundation. So ended up with an extra lip stick, eye liner and mascara - oops! lol
I will contact her next week. My manager and the DM wanted to catch up with me anyway to discuss some ideas - I am thinking they might try and get me to do an area.
Posted 13 April 2012 - 07:48 AM
Rachel the way I look at it is whatever price you sold the Eternal Magic perfume for subtract that off the $75 you paid for the other pack, cos you didn't pay for the perfume anyway (I got that too on my 1st campaign but kept it!) I'd forgotten how much good stuff was in it,after I read your post I went & looked,I'd forgotten it had the glimmersticks, that cuticle cream & a lot of the rest.Couldn't believe it had that expensive serum!!
I want to start getting people to have "Avon Parties" although I'm getting no interest, lol, but with things like that serum you can use it as an incentive like "Host receives gift worth $70" or whatever it's worth.I'm doing that with those Genics creams I got sent that I didn't want!!I was going to return them but realised if I did, that particular campaign would've gone under 35% so may as well keep them,I'm better off, even if I sold them for $20 each!!
I'm wondering if I had an Avon party at my place whether many people would come,I'd rather give someone a face cream & have it elsewhere but then I know friends have had tupperware etc parties where only a few people turn up so might not sell much??Avon is so much cheaper than tupperware & needs replacing, well makeup, body & skincare does,I'm always wondering how tupperware girls keep the business going for long once they run out of friends to have parties & everyone has all the bits & pieces they want.I got a catalog from a neighbour, there was only one thing I thought would be good for DP to take his lunch to work in but it was $60!!He said no way!!Do any of you have any experience of this??Seeing how it seems popular I always wonder why Avon isn't heaps more popular seeing it's such value for money,I get no interest on facebook & got lots of girls on my friend list.Is it seen as an old thing??I do the E-brochure so the cover comes up with Reese etc so I don't see how it can be viewed as old.& it's much cheaper than Revlon,Maybelline,Max Factor etc.Ok rant over!!
Choc Addict with that ordering the extra thing I make that mistake a lot & often there's no way of knowing, grrr!!!Wonder if they'll try get you to have an area??When is this meeting?!
Posted 13 April 2012 - 02:40 PM
No idea when they want to meet. My manager was going overseas, I think she got back this week. She emailed me before she left saying they wanted to catch up when she got back.
The DM rang me last week but no mention of physically catching up.
