temp drop below coverline sign of period coming?

I have been charting for the first time this month and my chart has confirmed my suspicions about when I am ovulating. Just last night I was allowing myself to feel a bit hopeful because my breasts have been tender for 6 days and still are (usually are tender only for about 3 - 4 days), but this morning my temperature fell again below the coverline for the first time since before ovulation.
Tomorrow is the day I would normally expect to get my period. Does your BBT usually fall the day before your period? How depressing

Yes. There is usually a temp drop just before, just after or on the day of AF's arrival. There are however, often drops during the luteal phase that don't indicate AF, such as around 7dpo when you have a second oestrogen surge. I'm assuming though that you are around 14dpo???

Thanks for your reply. Actually I am only 7 dpo. My luteal phase is very short, varying in length from around 7 days to 10 days, but usually about 7 I think. (I am working on trying to get my cycles more regular and longer).
It's interesting that there is a second oestrogen surge around 7 dpo - I didn't know that.......maybe I am not often getting this surge, which could be why my LP is so short. Anyway, temp was the same again today, making 2 days below the coverline, but no sign of AF yet, so I guess there is still some (slim!) hope.
