Michelle- I got my kit today  ddance.gif I am still reading through everything, but yay!

I have two LBA parties this week, but I am also going to try and squeeze in a Chocoholics Party on Saturday night.

Where is everyone, I can't keep talking to myself!!!

Yay Amy!! original.gif

I got an outside order so need to place an order today after all. doh! lol
Next party is thursday, maybe I will wait and put the order in then but it is a $70 order. original.gif

It must be the day for outside orders. I got an email from a client this morning with an $140 outside order!  ddance.gif I am almost at my sales target for this month so I am so excited.

Michelle- Just a quick CA q. I am planning to do a letter box drop with the CA fliers that came in my and was just wondering if you have done one and if it was very successful?

Nice outside order. original.gif
My customer is a big buyer and had been thinking about becoming a Rep. I told Megan and she said well don't sign her up, keep her as a customer!  tongue.gif

I didn't do a letterbox drop with those ones. I got some postcards made up from Vista. I got friends to do letterbox drops (paid them in chocolate). They also got a bonus if someone booked a party from their drop (they put their initials on the back). I got 2 parties out of 200 flyers so not really worth it.

I suggest pigeon hole drops at daycare/kinders, with permission of course. See if you can leave catalogues at doctors, dentists etc.. any place you go that has a waiting room.

Vistaprint have some awesome specials on at the moment. If you don't get the emails & would like a copy let me know & I can forward the email.

Eg. Free

Car door magnet
250 premium business cards
return address labels
small stamps
sticky notes
oversize postcards

I've placed an order & have $190 worth of stock for $44 postage  ddance.gif

They are great aren't they. I am on their mailing list, but I don't need any more products at them moment. original.gif

I am tossing around the idea of the car magnet but not sure what to put on it.

I am still here. original.gif

The choc anon girls moved off site cos we thought our constant CA chatter was putting people off.  unsure.gif

Emma page and artistry - that is Amway stuff isn't it??

Wow Shell, that is impressive sales. original.gif

Wow Shell!  Very impressive sales.  My last party was only $380.

Yes, Emma Page and Artistry are sold through Amway.

I hope some more people come back. I could really do with some ideas on getting more parties booked etc.  I am so not any good at asking for sales. Maybe I'll just have to go through old threads.

How old is your child? Do they go to daycare?? If so, ask if you can leave flyers there or even do a pigeon hole drop. Ask everywhere you go, doctors, dentists, playcentres etc if you can leave a flyer or catalogue etc.. I have done letter box drops, they can have some sucess.

Also kinder fetes or lots have fundraiser market nights/days Keep an eye out in local papers for ads on that type of thing.

That is all I can think of at the moment, might be back later with some more ideas. original.gif

Yeah I was so proud of my sales, got another party tomorrow, so I hoping for another good party, but it dosn't look as promising as the last one, but hey, you never know.

I have been going to local markets, we are not allowed to sell our products at markets but I go there and hand out catalouges, show my stuff and have a deal $20 voucher if you book a party on the day!
I have also recently put some catalouges at the kinder, no bites there yet though, but I am also going to try and drop some old catalouges into mailboxes, i am going to put a note to say they are the old ones but if they are interested to  give me a ring, better then putting them in the bin anyway.

ohhhh I also put things on my facebook.... not like, "can someone have a party" but "oh gosh, i just had $1000 party, it was so easy! congrats JILL on all your free stuff!!"

even though "JILL" is not on facebook, i got a couple of my old school friends asking about my products now!!

ah well, good luck and crossed fingers for me tomorrow!!

Thanks for the tips.  Will have to try some of them. My parties have dried up so need to get going again.

Shell - How did you go today?

#18 moomilker

Posted 24 May 2009 - 09:45 PM

$342 party so I made about $80 which is ok for a days work, not that I would really call it hard work?!
I was a bit disapointed that I didn't get any party bookings, ah well, got a party early june which should generate some big sales, a friend of the lady who brought HEAPS at the last party I did...

Hi every one well i am new to the party plan business,  I sell undercoverwear in Adelaide, am having a dry spell with parties atm so if any one in adelaide is interested in doing a party swap, or interested in having a look at a book,  please let me know.

Hi Dany, welcome. original.gif

I do like some of the UCW stuff. original.gif Have you emailed all your customer base to "touch base". Do you have young kids? Do a pigeon hole drop at daycare/kinder (with the directors permission of course). Anywhere you go ask if you can leave a catalogue, doctors, dentists etc...

I have one of those brag bags that has slots for photos on the outside, like a big tote bag. I have put info about CA in there and have gotten a couple of parties and loads of interest from that. original.gif

Also, you will need to remove all your UCW stuff from your signature as we aren't allowed to advertise our business's on this site.

Hi Party Plan Ladies!

I am considering becoming a party planner.  I was initially thinking adult products, but have decided thats probably not my thing and am now torn between PartyLite and Lorraine Lea Linen.

I have been obsessed with this for the last couple of weeks and am now starting to annoy myself with the over analysing.  I was hoping you can put my worries to rest and answer some questions for me...

How do you handle the tax situation?  Do you declare you income and therefore claim expenses?  Did you get an ABN?  Do you need special insurance for you vehicle as it is now used for business purposes? Did you get special business insurance for your "home office"??  Do you have public liability or any type of cover to protect you if you break or damage something in somebodies house?  Does the company cover that already??

See. I'm over thinking it.  Please put me out of my misery and feel free to PM me if you like.  Would appreciate your help and also feedback on how you find the whole party plan experience!

Many thanks,
