There was another thread on here that got me thinking - when you were pregnant, did you still have sex?
I didn't for health reasons. I don't think my husband was really into the idea of sex with a baby onboard anyway.
Am I the only one who didn't have up-the-duff nookie?

Unless there is a specific medical reason not to then it is perfectly safe.
Yep - using someone elses term, my 'mojo' was definitely rising in the second trimester. In fact I am sure my husband contemplates knocking me up again just to get that kind of action again

Yes especially towards the 2nd trimester. I feel sexy for some reason ... but I do remember making love one week before my due date because I want to go into labour already. And it worked!

I certainly did . Although I had to stop when I got to eight months when my stomach started to get in the way. My doctor told me that there was nothing wrong with doing it while pregnant and actually encouraged it. She said that if the baby is kicking and very unsettled, then the rocking motion and or**** will help relax the baby.

I have always had an incredible sex drive during pregnancy and, well when your uterus is the size of a small bus orgasims feel well really REALLY good Thats not so say I had sex any more or less than usual though. I just I helped myself so to speak. (Gawd I cant beleive I am saying this on the WWW )
I was so p*ssed of when I got Placenta previa for my 3rd and last pregnancy- so no orgasims at all that time (man that was hard ).
Are fabulous orgasims enough of a reason to have another baby

I didnt, but that was because I'm a bit weird in the head and couldnt get over the thought of bubs being there, all "threesome" like! ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww
but as I said, thats just me!

Ditto. My husband loved it, needless to say.

Oh God yeah!
How could you not??
And even used to 'beg' DH near the end because I was overdue and desperate and it was midwife recommended!
Remember the Friends episode where Rachel is desperate to have the baby and so angry and really turning Ross off while trying anything to get him to have sex? That struck home to DH and I!!!

God yes, yes, Yes, YEEESSSS! Sorry, what was the question?

Too risky at first ("threatened miscarriage"), then too sick, then a bit too freaked out, then too sick again and with no libido whatsoever during the whole pregnancy.
DH wasn't keen on the idea either. I'm sure if I really felt like it I could have explained the mechanics to him but I was quite happy to loll on the couch sucking down Mylanta and pear juice instead.

But that was not by choice, DS's dad left when i was 6 weeks preg so the option wasnt there...
Posted 10 March 2008 - 10:51 PM
Yep, up to and including the night DS4 was born, that and a massage I contribute to me going into labour.
Posted 10 March 2008 - 11:07 PM
Nope I hate sex as soon as I fall pregnant. Poor dh.
Then Dh has to wait months for it again.
We did try it the other night and Naomi is 9months old.
I wont be doing it again anytime soon.
Isn't sleep more important then sex?

Only once or twice, nothing kills the mood faster than "honey, you gotta stop, i'm going to throw up"
When the all day sickness finally abated about 28 weeks he didn't want to cos he could feel her...

Definitely! Although with the first two it was a lot more limited -- DD1 I had whooping cough and DD2 I had back issues.
This time I think we've done it more times since I fell pregnant than the month the baby was conceived
I was told by a midwife to orgasm as much as possible because the baby gets the feel good hormones and is more likely to grow up to be a well adjusted human being I'm not sure how true that is but I'm sure the baby enjoys it just as much as we do. I wasn't afraid to help myself either Especially when DH is only around early in the morning (morning sickness) and of an evening (kids to bed and me exhausted).
Not happy at the moment cuz DH has a cold
Oh and the second trimester DREAMS!! They're heading my way soon I told DH about that and he said "you have to wake me up during the night when you start having those"
