Gee, I hate to be the one to start this off on such a downer but........

It's offical

AF arrived with full force early hours this morning.

I'm coping alot better than last cycle, must have been the -ve HPT's.

Have to go for the BT tmw morning regardless.  Have made an appointment with my Dr for next Friday.  We're considering using our sole frozen embie this cycle.  I'm as regular as clock work so it should be a natural FET.

We have a Gold Coast holiday booked for the middle of next month.  I'd like to go away not doing any form of AC process and just relax and enjoy our holiday.
DH then has another week off which will have us hanging about the house and doing day trips. We'll spend this time deciding on whether we'll stick to AC or hang up our boots and start living for now.  It's ironic really, this time last year we had decided to give it away once I turned 42, 12 months later and we're going through it all again. I wonder what we'll decide????

My head is telling me one thing but my heart just won't follow.

I'm going to end this with a very positive outlook and say I just know that by the end of JUNE we WILL have some great news on this thread.

Well AF arrived on May 29. I am soooo glad. I have my first appt with dr. tommorrow for u/s.
Will probably start the puregon injections again. This time at a stronger dose so cycle will be faster.
I can't wait until I do the IUI.

Quick update from me - FET happening this Sunday! According to the blood tests I O'd yesterday so we're all set to go this Sunday. Now I'll start worrying about the defrosting process...I was told 85% chance of survival so I figure that is pretty good odds but I will still obssess about it.

Mergie - sorry to hear AF arrived. I hope you guys can have a great holiday and get away from the stress of TTC.

Beep - good luck with your IUI.

Will report back after transfer!

Well I had my scan yesterday and lots of lovely follies which made me feel good as everyone keeps telling me I dont have age on myside anymore.

We are doing PGD so EPU is for Monday and transfer will be next Thursday all going well.

Im feeling positive but scared all at the same time. I found this stim cycle some what easier than my last.

Ladies,

Im having this awful feeling that Ive "O"d.

I suddenly dont feel bloated as much and all the mucky stuff that comes with "O"ing has gone sorry about the information.

Im really worried Im going to turn up for EPU on Monday and find that something went wrong.

Felicity i recall when i was doing my cycle me emailing you with the same worry. And i do recal you telling me that everyone has the same worry and that it is very rare that it can happen.

Hi Ladies,

I�m sorry I�m not up for personals today as I�m absolutely shattered and can�t stop crying. After having such a good response to my first cycle with 20 something eggs. Today they got a measly 6 � Don�t even think we are going to make it to do PGD.

The couldn�t find my file when I came out of Op and I was so excited couldn�t wait to find out how many we had and when the nurse said Id done well with 6 I burst out crying and really haven�t stopped since.

Out of 10 that fertilized last time we only had one live normal pregnancy � So I�m not holding out much hope of even one in six fertilizing.

Lyndon came to see me and said he knew I would be devastated. I just want to know what went wrong.

He also confirmed that he doubts we will get to do PGD or even have anything to transfer. He will call me on Wednesday and let me know what the next step is.

There were follies but no eggs � I don�t know what I did wrong � Age must have caught up with me.

It makes it so much harder to come home to Brodie and think he might be the only one.

Sorry I�m in such a downer - I�m sure you will understand.

Hi everyone,
Sorry for being lax in updating you all.  I had a BFN with this round.  And with only one embie, we have to start all over again.  We're still waiting to decided what to do.  I'm thinking of having a break and focussing my obsessiveness onto losing weight.  I've found all these stats on how it affects fertility, which for some reason no dr mentioned to me earlier?!  So I'm off to Weight watchers and carrot stick country.

So sorry Felicity.  hope you're feeling better soon.  I've pm'd you.

Felicity I'm so sorry to hear that the results aren't as good as you'd hoped. I've been in a similar situation and I remember all too clearly how upset I was so I do know how you're feeling.

Try to stay positive though ... there might just be a sticker in amongst the six you have.

Finally got my results ... I swear I must have been the last on the list to get them, lol.

Anyway, it is all systems go for my FET on Wednesday. The clinic was looking for a progesterone level of 30 and above and mine was 44.

Both DH and our 13mo DS are coming in while I have my transfer ... how many kids out there in the fertile world can say that they were in the same room as their parents when their little sister or brother was conceived? LOL. There's got to be some advantage to this whole AC journey, hey?

Felicity, just wanted to let you know that I only got 5 eggs and 3 fertilised, and I was only 26 at the time.... Hope you get some littles to transfer

Had our transfer yesterday and have my 2 little blasts on board. They did not cope well with the thawing - one only had 50% cells surviving, the other only 60% (I think they like to see 80 - 90%). Anyway they were still alive (barely I think) when we got there so both have been transferred. I'm not overly hopeful, but you never know....

I'm still going to hpt my little heart out next week just in case.
