Hi girls! Just a quick hello while I am at work! Roz, I am really sorry to hear about your BFN! Hang in there, I am thinking of you!! I will probably join you soon..... Donna, I did do a HPT this morning, I know that it is extremely early, but I found a HPT that detects as low as 5mM HGC (I think the units are right?, will have to check when I go home), as opposed to the usual 10mM. Apparently this test can be used as early as 5-7 days before the day your period is due, which in theory should be at 7-9 days post ovulation (Fortel was the brand). I am at 9 days post ovulation, so it is probably still a bit early to tell. I don't really feel like AF is coming, but only time will tell. I will probably test again in 2-3 days, because curiosity gets the better of me every single time!! I also am wondering if you someone had twins, would their HCG levels rise sooner, or would it be at the same time, but just stronger??? I am pretty anxious this time, because this is my last IUI, and it is on to IVF/ICSI next after 1 months break. Anyway, work is calling me, have a great evening ladies!!! Cherry

Hello all!
I start bloods tomorrow [IUI for Wed I hope] I've been wondering something for a while... do any of you girls who are TTC for no# 1 have a nursery set up? I really want to organise one and buy all the gear, but when I told my mum and sister they were horrified and think it's "bad luck" to do that! What does every one else think? I think there is nothing wrong with planning ahead, all I want to do is paint the room and buy a cot etc.... it's not like I want to buy things with a babies name on them [ie: wooden door things with names] Am I tragic to do this? Even my husband looks at me funny when I want to buy all this stuff... I'm just trying to be positive! Love Kate xxx BABY DUST TO ALL.................................

Yes i also would love to buy some nursery stuff but have resisted temptation, i was in kmart today where they are having their end of year clearence sale and there were all sorts of baby stuff on clearence, Guess its not cheap though if i dont end up falling pregnant lol. I also dont want to jinx myself. Hopefully it wont be to long to wait till i can start buying stuff. I've already picked which pram and car seat im going to buy lol.

Roz, I was worried about a short LP but from what you said you were spot on... Still sucks though, are you doing ok ??? Cherry, As far as I know with twins you do get a higher HCG count but I don't know that you would necessarily pick them up on a HPT in the early days. So, did you end up doing another test ??? Katy, good luck for this round of tests, fingers crossed for Wed too. I never bought any of the big stuff when TTC #1 but I did buy things like bibs and dummies, face washers and towels etc... I guess I was pretty much of the thought that we will do what we have to do to make this work so they will come in handy eventually. I did wait to buy the big stuff until I was well into my second trimester though. Didn't want to jinx myself on that side of it. I was feeling pretty rotten yesterday, had a major temp dip and was sure that with my low prog levels this cycle that AF was on her way but they jumped right up again this morning so I am praying like crazy that it was an implantation dip. I had my last Pregnyl shot this morning so a HPT would be a waste of time before Wed morning anyway so I might as well wait for my blood test, but then again, knowing me I will probably do a test anyway !!! <IMG border="0" src="http://www2.fertilityfriend.com/ticker/12ebc/ttc.png"> These last few days are really going to drag by, I just know it...

Hi all, On the HCG front, I have had one Dr tell me that he could determine from HCG levels in a b/t whether multiples were likely, but my regular Dr says not!! Doesn't really help, does it??? I hope some of you manage to get your BFPs this cycle. Roz, sorry this one wasn't it for you. I had thought that this one would be it. Take care of yourself and enjoy your down cycle. Donna, the dip sounds promising. The rest of the girls in the 2WW - good luck and try to stay sane! Bec Me: 27 DP: 29 TTC #1 11 months 8 natural cycles - double IUI Feb 05 - lap and hysteroscopy and dye - all clear! Mar 05 - 1st modified cycle - BFN April 05 - Puregon and ICI! Hi Girls, Well, my 2WW has come to an abrupt end! Dear AF reared her ugly head this morning, and all my dreams came crashing down, but that was not the worst part, the worst part was the realization that this was my last shot, and now it is time for IVF/ICSI. It's kind of daughting knowing that I am going to have 1 month off, and then we will be actually one of the couples who have to resort to the last possible option. I guess I feel scared more that disappointed/sad, I am worried about the cost and how much time I will have to have off work, and how much stress it will be. I can't really imagine that it would be too much more than what we are all going through?? I also have fears becuase DH loves kids, but he is not desperate to have them like me, he doesn't mind either way he says, I think that he is happy for what ever makes me happy. I worry what he will say when we find out the total end cost of IVF, because they don't often tell you about all the extras initally. I guess we will find all that out the beginning of July. I made the booking with the FS when I had the last IUI, because he was not very optimistic, and suggested I make the appointment in the event that things did not work out this time. I am glad I did, because now I know when I will be going back to him. I have been trying to mentally prepare myself for this time, and wondering what to say when they ask about putting in 1 embie or 2. I had thought a lot about multiple births, because I had 6 follies this last time (increasing the chances of DH's slow swimmers actually fertilizing at least one), so I knew there was a chance that he might miraculously have had 2 rapid swimmers amongst his dead sea! Anyway girls, good luck to the rest of you in the 2WW, and for all the others starting their next cycle. Donna, I really hope that you saw an implantation dip, I will be waiting for Wednesday for you, with all my fingers crossed!! Bec, how are things going with you? It is great to see you pop in! I am going to keep checking in to see how everyone is going, but it is a bit sad that I will no longer be an IUI buddy, and just your buddy Take care everyone, and baby dust to you all!! Love Cherry

Hi Cherry, I just want to say that I'm so sorry that AF turned up for you. As I had done 11 IUI's I was also facing the possibility of having to do what you are now and I held all of the same fears. I really hope that this will be what you need to get your dream bub and that it happens quickly for you! It's good that you had already made your appointments so that you know where you are going from here. I am doing really well - thanks for asking. I don't really belong here anymore, but I love checking to see how your all going and putting in my little bits! Roz - thanks for the info. I had already checked the site and knew what it said about beta levels, just thought it was interesting to add the differing opinions of the Drs. Hope the rest of you don't have the witch turn up and are enjoying your long weekend. Bec

Cherry, I am so sorry for you. I was really hoping that this cycle would be it and there would be no need to move on. I am trying to think of all the positive things to say but at this stage they will just sound like empty words but you know that we are thinking of you and will support you.
I don't know that ICSI will be a lot different to what you are doing now except for the EPU and FET. At least you have these IUI's behind you to help you prepare for some of what will happen, although that again is little consolation.
Roz, yep I took it at exactly the same time every day, I set my alarm to make sure. I am so hoping. They have come back up again the last couple of days so if I was looking at anyone else's chart I would say they had a fantastic chance but I am not prepared to tell myself that just yet !!!
I think we are ready for a new thread, I will get a mod to lock this one and put our chart in to start the new one...
