Can anyone tell where the baby seat anchor points are for the back seat of a Toyota Landcruiser? We were thinking of hiring one for a holiday in the NT.

If the anchor bolt connects to the floor in the back does it take up luggage room?

The car seat brochure shows an anchor point position in the roof - does a Landcruiser have one there? - it looks really handy.

Hi Kylie,
If you ring a Toyota Dealership they should be able to tell you where the anchor points are.  If they can't tell you ring the hire company and find out.  We took our daughter to the beach and we used a Jeep and the anchor was on the roof and it was really handy as it gave us heaps of room.

We have an 80 series Cruiser and the anchor points are all very accessable. You'll find them in the 'boot' area, behind the seats. They are U shaped and you'll seethem clearly. I'm pretty sure that the hire company will install your car seat for you if you ask. Also, most hire cars have the owners manual in the glovebox, and you'll see the points illustrated there.

Good luck and have a great trip. Nikki

We have a 100 series Landcruiser and like Nikki said 'the anchor points are all very accessable'..
Ours are directly behind the 'middle' row seats on the floor and we have one in use at the moment. It goes directly down and isn't in the road at all, not even when we have the 'third' row seats in use...
But there are also points in the roof, you do have to have the bolt and attach it though.
But as the others have said, the hire place should/will do all that for you...

Best of luck & have a nice & safe trip...
(we did a trip to Darwin last May).. VERY HOT!!!!!
