Is anyone watching this tonight?

I'm not a fan of Piers Morgan, but I have been following this case for a few years so thought I'd watch it.

Paris Bennett is cold as ice. A true psychopath *shudder*.

I feel for his Mother. She isn't perfect and has done some real sh*tty things as a person and mother, but by goodness, if he gets out he will absolutely kill her. No doubt about it.

One part of me can understand why she keeps in contact, but another part of me wonders how the hell she can keep in contact with her daughters killer.

Such a terrible case.

So hard this case. He has a genetic disposition to mental illness ( his father had schizophrenia), he was admitted to a psych facility and was diagnosed with homicidal tendencies. His mother ignored this diagnosis and a few months later he killed his sister. Was his mother in denial about his medical condition? It's just so hard to make any opinion as being mother's it maybe hard to accept their maybe something psychologically wrong with our child. Very dad situation

Not to mention his grandmother. I believe she had her husband killed.

At the time Paris killed Ella I think the mother was using again. He was always going to kill - it was just a matter of time. The question was never when, but whether it was his mother or someone else.

I hope like hell she is saving money to change her identity one day.

About 2-3 months before he committed the murder he was in a treatment facility (I think) and his mother was told he had homicidal tendencies. She was also told that she should spend all her money on changing her identity because if he ever gets out, he will likely come after her.

He has admitted that he did it to hurt his mother.

I am not 100% sure if he has ever expressly stated to anyone that he wants to kill his mother, but I think various professionals have all agreed that it's very possible/likely.

After reading about the case it’s very ‘we  need to talk about Kevin’ situation .

i think until your in the situation it’s very hard to know how far unconditional love goes .

its easy in hind sight to think a 13 year old boy with homicidal urges should be kept away from another child . But how many mentally ill 13 year olds actually go on to kill their young siblings ?

schizophrenia is also very hard to diagnose in a child and the vast vast majority of people with schizophrenia are not psychopaths and are not a danger to anyone .

will watch the show when I can to get a clearer understanding .
