Achy legs

So for probably the last month or so I have had really achy legs - I guess similar to growing pains or when you have walked a lot through the day??  I notice it mostly later in the day/night. My activity levels haven’t changed at all.   The pain is quite bad.   I already take magnesium at night to help with sleep etc.  

Does anyone else have this?   Google search says maybe poor circulation?   Could it be stress related??  My back usually hurts due to stress maybe it has progressed to my legs??   Is there anything that can help?  Should I see a dr?

Get your vitamin D level checked. When mine was low I had horrible pain in my legs. Dr told me to take a vitamin D supplement and the pain went away once my level was normal.

Anecdotally (everyone loves a good anecdote), I have always got achey legs after running or on my feet all day. Since switching to a completely plant-based diet and using no processed oils, I never experience achey legs (or many other aches and pains). I mentioned it to my doctor when getting my bloods checked and she said she wasn’t surprised - I’ve no doubt improved the blood flow, particularly from removing fats/oils. My blood pressure has dropped and my cholesterol is amazing (both were ‘normal’ previously but now terrific).

Pain in other areas of my body has always traveled around for me. I found Physio massage very helpful, getting one area sorted usually helped the next. So, relaxing the sore back muscles could help legs.
Also the old Epsom salts warm bath. Heat packs. Elevated legs at night on a pillow.  
I found compression socks or 2xU leggings could help.

For stress, see a dr / psych. For muscle pain, a Physio that believes in massage as well as a list of exercises, (or osteo).

It’s important to keep moving but not overdo it. When I was really bad, an exercise physiologist specialising in pain etc was very helpful.

Disclosure, I have stress, and rheumatoid arthritis and fibromyalgia both likely stress induced.  Wish I had been able to control the stress better and earlier.

Theres a thing called delayed onset muscle soreness (DOMS) it can happen if you exercise a lot and then stop. I sometimes get it if I skip a gym day.  Stretching helps.  I guess that would only be the case if you exercise a fair bit.

Another possibility is your shoes?  I have a particular pair of running shoes that give me sore muscles if I overdo it but other shoes dont.  Or maybe your bed?  Is it time for a new mattress?  Oddly enough I find my muscles feel better on a hard mattress.
