I've been trying to find the name of a song for a very long time. I've used Google, Find Lyrics websites, Top 100 singles charts etc etc and have had no luck.

The song itself was released definitely no later than 2009 but probably earlier (I'm thinking mid to late 2000s). It was sung by a male British singer  (I don't think it was a band/group but not sure) who was probably more popular/well known in Britain than Australia. It may have been a one hit wonder or even one of the winners/contestants on UK X Factor etc.

The song is a "Swing" type song, with a fast uptempo beat. From what I remember, the guy is singing about a girl who is either his girlfriend or a girl he likes. He mentions something along the lines of how she can dance, or the way she moves or has rhythm etc. He also mentions she is five foot something (or at least mentions her height). It is not the song "5 foot 2, eyes of blue, has anybody seen my gal".

It is not sung by someone as famous as Robbie Williams, Ronan Keating.

It is not on the soundtrack of The Mask movie.

It has similar feel to these types of songs:

Anybody have any idea?

Doesn't mention height but seems to fit the bill otherwise.

I lived in the UK at this time. I went to gym that played all the pop. It wasn’t my sort of music but I got to know it all and got quite into it in the end. In the days before personal music. They played All the boy bands, steps Robbie etc. I don’t think I’ve heard this song.

i thought for a moment it might come from the Tom Jones, Reload album, but just had a quick scan and don’t think it’s there. You might like the album anyway, give it a whirl. It’s more big band swing style. He does duets with loads of popsters like Kylie, Robbie. There is a song where he is singing looking for a woman who is 5 foot 6 but this one isn’t a vocal duet, it’s a duet with a DJ. Personally I think this is one of the weaker songs on this album.

there are some great songs on this album. Something for everyone as they are all covers.

It’s a woman singing, not a man, but it sounds a lot like Aleesha Dixon’s the boy does nothing.

That is definitely the style of song it reminds me of but it's not that. This was a guy singing about a girl.

I lived in the Uk at the time and  subjected to all the  English pop music In many pubs, gyms, many many clothes shops etc between 1997 and 2003. If it’s English, it wasn’t top 50 popular.
It was a time of many UK hits the even indie ones everyone knew. Uk using was having a day. It must have been quite indie obscure or Perhaps Irish. Is there a chance it’s European or USA.

My memory tells me it was around 2005 to 2009 when I first heard it. But yeah I can't find it on any hit charts either. I'm pretty sure he is from UK somewhere.
