I read where Jess had only taken two weeks leave so obviously wasn’t planning of hanging around?

Clip of tea drinking. Apparently we aren’t alone.

It’s also the attitude of “alright, I like Angie, but I’ve got to chill and let her chose.”

And I kinda think he’s much cuter dressed down. I feel like the wardrobe people are dressing him so very out there. I wonder what his normal wardrobe would be.

So what exactly was his plan? Publicity?

One of the criticisms people throw at the show is that participants need to provide all their own clothes which could amount to thousands of dollars and they aren't paid enough to cover it.
Having said that I often think some of the fashion choices don't seem to quite. I remember one season where 3 men were next to each other all with suit jackets a size too small from the looks of it and pants that made them look like overgrown school children. Would they really all have bought the wrong sized suit?

Ciarran is adorable. He’s no bullsh*t, just “I’m here. I’m me.” It was a hell of a black box they put over him. He’s as happy drinking tea as he is dancing at a gay club, dog show or at a cocktail party frocked up.

It was a generous sized rectangle.

The day to day clothes is supplied by each contestant, the suits the for rose ceremonies are provided by channel 10, same as the girls, their cocktail dresses are supplied by 10, but everyday clothes each contestant provides.

That’s kinda what I was thinking. The day to day clothes are pretty normal.

That's interesting YKG and totally makes sense. I read an article that was all negative about the show and used the example of women needing to buy thousands of dollars on formal wear for the show.

The US one might be different, but Australia definitely channel 10 borrows and or purchases from designers for rose ceremonies and those impromptu “here’s a formal gown/suit hanging off a tree in the bush” moments.
I know a couple of the girls throughout the seasons have supplied their own (Laurina did) but it’s been either flogging their own business or have a “sponsored” by a brand. They seem to have shut that down in recent seasons though

Jackson was one of the ones who was telling jess off wasn't he?

It was Haydn and Matt. Matt was the one up in his face saying the way he talks about women is disgusting. I have a major crush on him for that reason.

I just had to get my charger just so i could come in here to say the same thing.

When Yvie mentioned Carlin Angie kinda lit up.

I noticed that too! She beamed. And hahaha at Yvie's "made up name".

I'm not sold on Ryan. I don't know why. I love dogs but something about him I don't like.

Timm is completely hilarious but long term I think he'd drive Angie nuts. I'd end up killing him. Ciarran I am not into at all  but OMG he is fabulous!

I'm still team Carlin.

I feel like neither Ryan or Jamie will be last ones standing. Heavily featured ones rarely get the last rose.

I think she’ll choose someone we least expect.

I can't put my finger on it, but I just don't like Ryan. He bores me to tears as well.

Jamie needs to go. No honey, no socks 😂

Where the hell did Alex appear from?! 😍

Same here! Ryan is so dull and serious!

Alex has always been there but I'm surprised he's stayed.

Not sold on Ryan either, can't get a read on him.

Jamie doesn't stand a chance. He's getting lots of airtime because it's great dialogue, his looks, all his angst and stalkiness, so the producers love him. But I suspect Angie has already friend-zoned him and he's just around for numbers now. But it sounds like he hasn't realised that yet.

I still think Carlin is a major contender.

And Ryan is certainly looking like Angie thinks he's a serious contender as well.

I think she has a lot of regard/time/affection for Timm and Ciarran, but I am not sure she would pick either of them wrt long-term ....

Unless he gets a date soon (with some corresponding sole air time), I don't think he will. The ones who don't get much air time don't tend to stay right through to the end.

But the tiny bits of footage that have been shown of him, he come across well.I have always liked the looks of him, but he barely gets any air time, which makes me think he doesn't make it to the final 4.

Geez how did I miss the diver Adam who went home last night...send him my way!  😂

The whole Ryan thing annoys me. Why put together the whole show just to set her up with someone she could have hooked up with on the outside?

#97 Chchgirl

Posted 24 October 2019 - 04:12 PM

Adam was better than I thought, been married, with two kids and at 34 a bit okder than the others. Still a baby but ok..

They did that with Sophie as well with Stu I think his name was, he asked Sophie out a couple times but never eventuated to anything and they never went out. He found out she was the Bachelorette and approached producers about going on the show.

Omg stop banging on about it

Do they screen the contestant’s mental well-being beforehand? Jamie is just so vulnerable and it’s wrong to exploit this. I feel like they should not have put him on.
