Good luck Jackieohh! Fingers crossed it happens quickly for you.

AFM bucket loads of EWCM today so maybe OPK is right and O is imminent? Might take a couple of cycles tracking things properly to work it out again!

Ok so I’m new here and we started TTC last cycle... (for first baby), and am 32yo.

I’m so frustrated!

First day of last period was 12 Sept... there were plenty of opportunities at the right times... so period was due last Thurs... then on Fri... get some ultra light bleeding, not spotting but def not normal period... for 4 days.. and my period is never less than 5.

Over the last couple of weeks... I have been severely nauseous, tired, sore boobs... this week it feels like my boobs have doubled and they’re spilling over my bra, and yesterday the heartburn started... also is shortness of breath normal?

I have had so many BFN, I’m about to do four weeks straight travel with work so went to the Dr today, who sent me for a blood test... which has come back negative.

She has suggested we do another check in a fortnight if I still have symptoms..

If I am pregnant, I am 5 weeks... I thought hcg rose fairly quickly to get a BFP?

I’d just like to know I’m dealing with all these symptoms for a reason...

You may also be getting the vibe I’m a control freak, I am.. well and truly so just trying to relax over here.

Today is CD1 for me. I was pretty hopeful last month.

Am thinking we will attempt each day of the fertile window (green section) of my app, as well as both days of a positive digital opk.

How are you guys timing things?

Welcome to the new ladies :)

Ms_V -  shortness of breath is definitely a symptom and was pretty much my first symptom for my last pregnancy (was struggling to read a bedtime story to my now 17month DD!) Good luck with the symptoms and tests.

Purple Polka Dots - I tend to follow the SMEP, which (from memory) is pretty much every second day from CD8, day of O and day after.
I usually work it out with my app and CM. never had much luck with OPK's when trying for DD.

AFM - I'm waiting impatiently for AF to arrive. From my calculations of when I thought I had ovulated (meant to miss this cycle due to miscarriage) it should be any time from now, but I really have no idea what my hormones have done following the D&C.

That is frustrating Ms_V, I would have thought you would have had a positive HPT now if you were pregnant and getting that amount of symptoms. Could your hormones be all over the place for other reasons?

AFM..because I O'd earlier than I was expecting according to the OPK, we only got 3 x BD in the fertile window. Once on CD 9, then CD12 (peak OPK) and CD13 (bucket loads of EWCM). Yesterday (CD14) my CM was back to thick/creamy so I think that was 1DPO. Putting us at 2DPO today.

So because of that, whilst I'm still hopeful we may get lucky, I'm already planning for next month..I think I am going to start using the OPK on CD8 (rather than CD10), and we are going to add vitex to the mix. Despite mixed reviews about using it when nursing online, I saw a post on the ABA facebook group the other day which has reassured me. And we definitely think it helped with conceiving DD1

So frustrating! I remember when I got pregnant with my first I had a similar occurrence. All the symptoms, even the doctor said she thought I was pregnant, my period hadn't even come. Period came 2 weeks later. So idea what happens. Sometimes I suppose hormone changes can do funny things.
Keep us posted!

So I went to get bloods the other week and i ended up needing to get a chicken pox vaccine booster - I was borderline but I thought given I am getting surgery end of this month, we weren't trying this month, so might aswell just get the booster (can't get pregnant for 4 weeks of having booster).
We had a fun night the other night, didn't used protection. And now I'm bloody nauseaus as today and just committed into my mouth  bit. Now I'm panicked I'm pregnant. Goose.

But, my period isn't due for 10 days so it's actually impossible to have symptoms yeah?

I would have thought you are safe ohhello. Fingers crossed! (Side note, how much quieter are the forums to last year!)

AFM 4dpo. Nothing to report really. AF not due for another 12 days, completely undecided whether to start testing around 12dpo or just wait the 12 days out.

Ok, so it’s been a few days and the nausea has subsided... boobs sore but not as sore - still wayyy short of breath... the Dr said if I was still experiencing symptoms in a couple of weeks we will retest... until then am trying not to think about, and act like I’m not meaning next weekend will be fun... so I guess I’ll know for sure soon enough... starting to doubt my luck though...

Checking in. It’s CD7. I had a really sh*tty period. Worst period cramps I’ve had in years, nausea, tired. I’m still having some twinges today and in my lower back as well, and feeling nauseated  still. To the point I POAS today cos it just doesn’t feel right. Negative as I expected but the pain and nausea is really throwing me.

Anyone else have similar after the time of month?

I’m cycle day 20 and hanging out. Going by my body and cm I ovulated on cycle day 10. According to my app it says I should have ovulated on cycle day 16.
I’m lucky hubby was home and we were lucky enough on both those days so fingers crossed.
I hate waiting though and after having a chemical last cycle I’m not getting my hopes up. I think stress played a big part last cycle. My blood tests after also showed my testosterone levels at only 1! I have been on a supplement this cycle to hopefully help.

it is crazy quiet isn't it! i wonder if people are now using a different site or something? it was super busy last year!

The TWW is a killer! I cannot wait until i get my surgery and we can get into baby making. its funny how once you make the decision, you emotionally completely commit.

i'm going to test a few days before my surgery just in case! counting down for next month!

I was wondering if people were elsewhere..It's a shame, I really loved the big TTC community last year, and we had an awesome DIG too.

100% understand what you mean. My husband was ready for #2 much sooner than me, but once I jumped the fence a switch flicked and now I just want it to happen, like yesterday! Also kinda bummed that we didn't throw everything at it this cycle (vitex, menevit etc) because it means we have to wait a whole other month to give that a whirl. I'm kinda counting myself out already, I had implantation pain and cramping with DD1. Im now 5dpo and nada.

I went to see my obgyn today. Had a cd12 scan done to check my follicles (on clomid). Only one follicle is growing but its a good size. I've been concerned about my luteal phase however my OB seems to think that my luteal phase is normal and that I am ovulating before I am getting a positive OPK because my day 21 progesterone blood tests are coming back positive for ovulation. However I am not getting a positive OPK until around day 17. I'm so confused.

He seems to think that we just keep doing a few more rounds of clomid but I just feel like we're missing something. Maybe its me reading too much into it.

We will see what happens over the next couple of months. He thinks I'm due to ovulate around day 15/16, I'm sure the OPKs will say otherwise as they always do. This is month number 4 trying and month number 3 of clomid.

I agree it's been pretty quiet this month. I remember the boards being a lot more active when I was in here 3/4 years ago!

It's so hard to navigate all the different hormones and opinions.

When we tried last time, my specialist has us having sex every second day between cd10 and cd20. She said that way we will always catch ovulation.

Do you mind me asking why you went onto Clomid after 1 month? We did a natural version of Clomid last time we got pregnant and I'm wondering if I do the same form the word go this time

JC 22, I'm so sorry. Life really sucks sometimes, and can be totally unfair. I lost my daughter to a chromosomal condition when she was 14 months old, so I understand your pain. I find that whenever something else painful happens, it magnifies my grief for my daughter, which in turn magnifies my sadness over the current situation, and I can spiral. Just wanted you to know I hear you and if you ever want to chat, I'm here.
Thanks for your comforting words 😊. Sorry I’m only getting back to you now I took a wee break from EB. So sorry to hear about your baby girl it’s heart breaking, hope you get your wee rainbow baby soon xxx

He put us straight on clomid because after having my son who is now 3 I started spotting mid cycle every month. Scans showed I had a dermoid cyst and thickened uterine lining as well as low progesterone which the OBGYN believes was the cause for the thickened lining. I was put on the pill as a bandaid fix I suppose. I came off the pill to start ttc number two and the mid cycle bleeding started again (surprise surprise). He said that I won't be ovulating with the amount and length of spotting that I was having so straight to clomid.

I slightly regret that choice and do think that maybe I should have gone the natural route first. I do trust him though, he was my OB for baby number one however I just can't help but think the clomid isn't the answer to our issues.

To get baby number one I ended up taking some natural hormonal supplements and a month later i was pregnant. Whether that was a coincidence or not I don't know.

Hi All,

I haven’t been on here For a while now.. we have been ttc baby #2 for a few months now.. I am either 8 or 9 dpo and I got a faint line on two pregnancy tests. They are the cheaper tests “freedom”. Will try again tomorrow on a first response or digital tomorrow.

I am excited but lines were so faint I feel like I am seeing things ..

I'm 10dpo, CD23 of 28, and AF has shown up today :( to start with I thought maybe it was implantation bleeding but it's definitely AF. I have consistently had 28 day cycles since my period returned 4 months post partum, so I don't know why a spanner was thrown into the mix this month:(

#45 JC 22

That’s great Talini a line is a line Congratulations really hope it gets darker xx

Sorry Sailor4, the same thing happened to me last cycle I really wanted to believe it was implantation but deep down I New it was AF 😢 take care off your self xx

AFM I’m on Cd 22 I went to see a FS after 22 months of trying he done a blood test to track O and told me there was nothing else he could do as I have had 2 Mc this year everything seams to be working fine with both me and DH 😕 think I’m happy with that was just hoping he would make something happen.

Any 1 due to test? Did you test again Talini?

#46 Talini

Posted 28 October 2019 - 11:44 AM

Thanks JC!

Yes i has one left so I tested again today. The line has gotten a bit darker .. will test again tomorrow with another brand. I booked a drs appt for Wednesday so will know for sure in a few more days .. good luck to you all trying this month

Yay Talini!! That is awesome news!!

JC22 - I guess that is a positive thing. Seems strange that he had nothing to offer in terms of the recurrent miscarriages though - surely they can do something to help baby stick?

I picked up some vitex so will start that tonight. CD2, and back at the start of the waiting game!

#48 ljp89

Posted 29 October 2019 - 05:36 PM

CD14. Negative OPK.

TMI - I have so much clear CM. It’s almost watery, and I’ve not had CM like this before ever 😬

We have not had sex in 5 days so I’m hoping I didn’t miss O as I haven’t done an OPK the last 2 days.

Hi All,
Just an update
I did both a digital and normal first response test and both positive.. got a dr appt tomorrow so will get bloods done then 😁🤞

Congratulations Talini!

Im currently cd 18 and still havent had a positive opk which makes me think that clomid hasn't done its job this month. I'm in two minds whether I try clomid again or give my body a bit of a break. I'm bloated, my weight loss has come to a stand still and I just don't think clomid is what my body needs. I'll see what happens this month and reassess.
