If money and space was not an issue, what car seat would you buy for 0-4 year? There seems to be so many choices. Safety and comfort is a priority for us and I don’t mind spending more for a good car seat given it’ll be used for at least 5 years.
We probably would choose a seperate booster when that is required.
We will also probably skip using a capsule. I’m still deciding whether we need it. Our biggest issue is that it’s going to be near impossible for me to carry the capsule out of the car myself so it’ll only be useful if DH is with me.
We drive an Accord at the moment but will probably upgrade to a SUV so space isn’t an issue.

We have the Britax Graphene because space was an issue with my small car/tall husband combination! It's a great seat - great safety rating and extended rear facing. It's really safe seat with a very shallow RF depth and quite narrow (can fit three across). If space wasn't an issue I probably would have stepped up to one of the fancier Britax seats - maybe Platinum pro or Millenia but they do take up a fair chunk more space when rear facing.

An SUV may not mean any more space for a child seat, some SUVs have small back seats.
Do you have other child seats or adults sitting in the back? Is the driver or front passenger tall?
The bee's knees would probably be the Britax Platinum Pro but it's wide, and very deep in rear facing mode. The compact version is the Britax Graphene, it's slim and has the shortest rear facing depth of the current seats.

We’re tossing up between the Tiguan and the new Rav 4 at the moment.
We have a 12 year old who is about my height at the moment. DH is 1.75m while I’m 1.58m so not overly tall people. Most likely will be putting the seat to one side to give DS some room.

Tiguan and Rav 4 don't have big back seats. The Platinum or other large seat is unlikely to comfortably fit. Can you test drive them to a baby shop to do a test fit of the seats? Put the child seat into the fully reclined rear facing mode and extend the head rest to the maximum rear facing height.
