My Dyson has died and I can't afford a new one. Can any recommend a vacuum cleaner that's on par with Dyson and other expensive brands? Eg. Kmart, BigW etc.

WE had Miele that lasted ten years. It was about $300
If that’s too pricey then I’ve heard Kmart have some good ones

I've had a Hoover paws and claws that I bought for $99 in Godfrey's sale and it's absolutely fantastic. Have had it for a couple of years. Not sure what their current offers are though.

OP, I have had this one for a year. I bought it to replace a deceased Dyson. The cons? It is HEAVY - can be a workout to push it around. BUT boy can it suck. It’s hard work to push because the suction is so amazing. To me, it was money well spent.
The suction on the Kmart vaccums is pretty good. I bought the $69 corded one as the one you linked was sold out and I have been happy with it.

My dyson died recently too so I replaced it with The Kmart one linked above. It does a great job on the floors but the cord is so short I’m constantly changing power points which drives me mad. I also find it difficult to empty, though I do have 2 dogs so it can clog up. I really miss my dyson 😪

What’s wrong with your Dyson? They have a pretty good service division and might be able to fix it for minimal cost.

Yeah I'd get them to fix it, especially if it's under warranty still.
Or use their cash off offer to buy a new one.

It's not under warranty and it just stopped working. I can't get through to the Dyson centre via the phone. I have sent emails asking if there is a repair centre in Darwin, no reply. So I thought **** it, I'll buy a cheapie but a goodie. I live in the boondocks and can't afford to drive in if and when Dyson ever get back to me. Lol I'm in Darwin now and will drop in to Kmart before I drive home today.
