Madeline is my pick - although it is more popular than Megan so there's that to consider if you don't want her to be one of a few Madeline's a school

No idea. It just looks heaps better than having line on the end of a name!

Love Madeleine!  This is the French spelling but Madeline is also nice.

This!

I could not put my finger on what I thought but this is it

Madeline 100% and I usually like shorter names

added: I am presuming though it will be shortened to Maddie/Maddy whether you do it yourself or not?

Megan, don't like Maddy or Mad!

I know a Madeleine that is never ever referred to as a Mad or Maddy. It’s always her full name, she is very clear about it!

Much much prefer Madeleine.  And Maddie.

Madeleine for sure.

Megan.

I like Madeleine and only spelt the French way.  I like it less nowadays because of the Maddie nickname and it is a bit of an effort using the full name all the time.

Megan, in full or nickname Meg has more personality for me.

Magenta
Marcelle
Marigold
Marisol
Millicent
Mireille
Myfanwy
Clementine
Celeste
Caroline
Magdalene
Josephine

Madeline is lovely. I would avoid Megan because of the Royals. It will always be mispronounced and spelled wrong.

Since you want Meghan (Meg-an), I vote Madeline.

Much prefer Megan.

Madeline just seems a prissy name to me.

#22 Trevor Trove

Megan.

I love the look and sound of Madeleine, but I really dislike the Maddy nickname.

I like Megan, but hate how Australians say it. Mee-gan is like nails down a chalk board for me. Meg-an or nothing.

So ultimately there is probably no winner for me in that list.

Madeline for me. My DD was Madeline - I adore that name.

Megan was the name of a bully at my school. She was just awful and that is probably why I dislike that name.

I’ve got a soft spot for Megan said Meg-an .. I adore Meg.
