Hi ladies, and welcome to the new girls! I hope your stay here is short.

Sounds good Peony. It should feel good to get some control :)

I think I'm about to O. Ran out of CB OPKs this morning and never got a smiley. I can't really be bothered to use them again (unless I'm still here in 6 months or so...). So, I'm just chilling and drinking a glass of wine and hoping for the best. DH looks super fine this evening so I don't think BD will be too much of a chore! I start a prac placement next week for 6 weeks, so will be kept busy during the 2ww.

Camembear sounds like we are cycle buddies! I’m supposed to o today or tomorrow. I stopped using OPKs as it just gave me something else to obsess about. I actually don’t even know if I am ovulating or not. Maybe. Hoping doctor can give me some insight. As for BDing, have fun!

Yay, cycle buddy! I'm the same with OPKs. I get way too obsessed. Haha, will do! You too!

I haven’t been here much lately, it’s been hard.

In 2013 I was 26 weeks, my little girl was stillborn, it’s still hard to be around friends who are pregnant, it makes it harder that now I feel completely ready to try again, it’s been an uphill battle

Sorry to everyone who has lost a little one.

I think I'm going to do opks next cycle.
I've been trying to avoid them, I don't want that 'oooh I'm ovulation we must have sex' I realise timing is everything but I also quite enjoy sex with the DH... I'd like to keep it that way - without the full on pressure

HAPPY LONG WEEKEND... I am looking forward to spending time with my beautiful DF this weekend! Just doing odd job as around the house, nothing exciting but I’m just to have him here for a few days!

I am CD16 today & I *think* that makes me 2DPO....

I am going to try & hold out till Mother’s Day (10DPO) to test but worried it will wreck my day if it’s a BFN!
Agh.... I hate this time of my cycle! 😫

Hello! Welcome to the newbies! I hope your stay is short 😊
I’m so sorry to hear of all these losses in the past 😔. My heart goes out to you all and I cross my fingers in the hope you all have some good news soon.

AFM, I got a solid smiley this morning. Hopefully this means that letrozole works for me and the dosage is correct! It’s been so long since I last o’d, 6+ months.
It looks like there will be a few of us testing around the same time. It’s nice to know I’ll likely be in the 2ww group, having largely only being a spectator for so long.

Nat that’s great news! I’m on Letrozole as well... I luckily O on my own but think this is just to increase my chances!
What dose are you on?

I’m on 2.5mg for days 2-6.
I was a little sceptical at the flashing smilies because of my pcos, so imagine my shock and happiness at the solid smiley!
We BD’ed last night and will every day until my temps spike.

Hi again,

Thanks Nat 2910.

I'm sorry for everyone's losses.

I had my first chemical that I was aware of in March.  I was only aware of it as I was having BT with my FS and it was noted the my HCG was 12 after I started spotting.  I was due to start my first IVF cycle and to find out that I had been pregnant was upsetting.  Then I had to wait another month to start the IVF.

This is where I am now, however after my trigger injection the FS said my lining was too thin and I would not be getting a transfer this month (Assuming I get any viable embryos). Another blow :(

At EPU she did a hysteroscope and D&C and found scarring.

Now I am d5 post EPU and they've only been able to freeze 1 embryo.  Hopefully some will be ok to freeze tomorrow but I only have 5 left out of the original 12 eggs collected.

My partner is very blaze and just says we only need 1.  Just repeating we only need 1 and it upsets me because I know the odds are low (I'm 40) and having embryos in the freezer bank is my goal.

Am I justified in getting cranky with him for just saying we only need 1.  He said we only need 1 at EPU as well and we've lost 6 so far...

I am all very new to this being my first IVF cycle . Maybe it's the hormones... Sorry for the long post.

Best of luck to everyone :)

Gaby

Oh Gaby.... IVF is a tough road!
I was on it for 4 years previously & May be jumping back on soon if we don’t get a BFP soon!

He probably thinks he is saying the right thing... it’s hard for them cause they really have no idea what we are going through & how we are feeling! I’m sure it’s coming from a good place but I can also understand you probably wanna head butt him at the same time LOL...

I actually found I had a better success rate with frozen transfers then I did with fresh! I got my 3 babies from frozen & Jack was my only fresh transfer!

Feel free to ask me anything.... like I said I did 4 years of IVF For me but I have also done 2 egg donation cycles as well, so had plenty of experience

Hey Pal30... hope your doing ok!

Failed IVF cycle suck! Can I ask what a lite IVF cycle is?

Sp many of you have had such tough journeys so far :( I'll hug DS a little tighter after catching up on this thread!
I'm sorry to read so many of the stories, and hope that you all get your rainbow babies soon. This baby making thing is so much more complicated once you start trying, isnt it?

#65 Pal30

Lite cycle is a much cheaper option (1500 for first cycle 750 for each subsequent cycle) for couples that meet a certain criteria (ie bmi) for a lower dose option of ivf. Less medication, epu is done under local and theres a different specialist for epus and transfers. But you can't opt for pgs or glue or any of the extras. They can do icsi though. And they can't change the dose half way through if youre not responding well.

Unfortunately it didnt work for us so we are back trying naturally.

The fs never gave us a reason we wouldnt be able to conceive naturally (which we have 3 times in past 13-14 months) but ivf wouldve given us a head start. Im actually really really excited to go back to "how its supposed to be" and not worry about needles scans blood tests etc. And its a looot less pressure!!

So back to temping and opks :) Good luck for May ladies.

Hi all,

I've had so much going on I hadn't had a chance to check in. We missed March and tried again in April. Currently 17dpo tested at 10 and 16dpo with BFN I'm sure AF is due any day currently 4 days late but expecting AF any day now. Fingers crossed some other get a BFP this month :)

Hi all, sorry to hear all the stories of loss, I cannot even imagine how it all feels.
I'm back again, only early days for DH and I TTC #1.
I'm using OPKs for the first time. Currently CD12, and just got a positive on my OP test. DTD lastnight and planning to the next 3 days at least I suppose, DH is always down to BD, so there'll be no issue there.
Good luck everyone, hopefully May is a lucky month for us all!

HI everyone,

Thanks for your kind words babyblessed.  It's a whirlwind of emotions and I find it hard to keep it together sometimes.

We lost another 2 embryos overnight, with 1 frozen today and 2 left that they will check tomorrow even though I've read that day 7 embryos yield very low results.

So, so far we have 2 frosties fingers crossed I get to the FET stage on the next cycle since it all depends on what my lining is doing.

Pal 30 - I can understand wanting to have a break from medications and needles. Good luck!

First30 - Hope you're doing ok and that AF doesn't come.

Emm24 - OPK's were a great tool when we were still trying naturally.  Some months I O'd early and I really felt I was more in control of when to BD.

Good luck to all!

Last day of my fertile window tomorrow. No idea if i ovulated or not but going to see doctor on Wednesday. I’m feeling a little numb. Tired of this process. I’ve been distracting myself and basically forcing myself to be excited about some of life’s other prospects as I’ve been getting so down. I even forgot the first day of my supposed fertile window... so it’s working well. Hoping I get some answers soon. I’m thinking of all you ladies and hoping for BFPs this month. ❤️

I am so glad I am not alone in feeling over it all!

Dh and I had a chat last night about what to do if we do end up going down the FS route and they say it has to be IVF - At this stage I can't get my head around that, I wanted to so badly to feel like this will happen when it is 'supposed' to.

I feel like my stance will change if I am told that conceiving naturally is unlikely.

On the plus side, FF has charted Ovulation! But on CD 16 - So I'm actually excited to see if I have a short LP or this will be a 29 - 30 day cycle (as previously mentioned the last 12 months my cycles have been irregular - Between 23 and 34 days)
I'm really glad that I started temping I feel like I have a bit more control and knowledge.

On the down side, we DTD on days 9, 11, 12, and 16. So I don't like our chances of a BFP this month.

Morning Ladies.... I think I am 4DPO today! So looks like a few of us will be due to start testing over the next week... Fingers Crosses it’s raining BFP this month!!!

I had so many dreams last night about b ing Pregnant! I must have done 50 pregnancy tests in my dream... watching them get darker & darker! I was so excited... then I woke up 😫

#75 moineau

Posted 06 May 2019 - 11:13 AM

Hopefully that is a premonitive dream!!!!

I won't test until after CD 35 (because they've been so messed up the last year) my testing date will the 22nd of May.
