Seems like Shannon is not coming back this season. Mentor role to be shared between Matt, Billie and Poh.

I am excited again. How much did I complain last year?

I love the idea of it, get excited for the start then spend 99% of the series complaining about it and how long it goes for, then will do the same next year

Oh seayork. You make me laugh sometimes. I’ve been reading that other thread, and I’m sure we’re getting better food and slightly less orchestrated drama.

“Will the parfait set in time?”

The words parfait and spheres give me chills still.

Edited to ad - I love MasterChef. It has no b**chy vibes. Great australian/British bake off are a pleasure to watch too.

I'm in, love this and find it so much more pleasant to watch than MKR where I am out as of today.

Oooh - when, when, when, when, when?

Mind you, it was May last year, so I have to pace myself.

My bingo call is for the words "varigated", "schmear" and "sour notes" this year.

Hehe. They haven’t started promoting yet at all.

I'm excited! Love the focus on the cooking, the lack of interpersonal drama and not having to look at Pete Evans. Agree about British Bake Off but it isn't the same without Mary, Mel and Sue.

My bingo expression: "two ways".

Not sorry to see Shannon go. He just always seemed a bit forced and never really contributed a great deal. Love Poh though.

I do love Poh. I think it will be interesting to have the previous contestants as mentors rather than chefs.

Looking forward to this year! Have totally decided to miss MKR altogether after last year and not missing it a bit.

I always look forward to Masterchef, I just love it!

This is the 5th year ifkr I haven't watched. I stopped watching when it became about villains and not cooking. Boring.

Yes. Somewhat ahead. I think it’s June or July it starts. Lol.

They seriously need to start getting a bit of sun safety in their outdoor challenges - they were filming locally to me yesterday & the photos in today's paper shows blurred contestants in the full sun with no hats or sun shelters.

I have often thought this, PP!!

They need to give us a countdown on their Facebook page at least!

Oh this is great, I love Matt Sinclair. And Poh, of course. Can't remember much about Billie, I think I had a newborn at the time!

Looking forward to it already!

They have updated their Facebook cover and mentioned the words "coming soon"...

I adore Poh!

#21 kimasa

Poh!

So glad Shannon's out.

It usually crosses over with the last few episodes of MKR, if I recall correctly.

#22 Zeppelina

I think I saw a 'coming soon' ad for it a couple of nights ago. I was at a friend's place and the TV was on in the background, volume off, so I didn't hear anything, but it was definitely Masterchef.

Has the start date been announced yet? I can’t find it and I never watch ch 10 to see any ads.
