DH and I are pretty set on Elizabeth for a first name, but have no clue about middle names.

Our DS is Theodore James, so would like to be a bit more adventurous this time with middle names as we have already met two other little Theodore Jameses! So nothing like Anne, Rose, May or those very "usual" middle names.

My Elizabeth is Elizabeth Joy, mainly as Joy is a family name.

I think because it's a longer name, a shorter middle name works, but I wouldn't stress too much on having an unusual middle name - how often is it actually used?

Not stressed about an unusual middle name for its own sake, but just wanting to avoid the usual suspects that are always popping up as girls' middle names

Great suggestions so far

I like a short name to go with Elizabeth, something with one syllable.

Elizabeth May

Elizabeth Joan (not everyone's cup of tea, but I like it!)

Elizabeth Joy

Elizabeth Grace

I also prefer a more classic name to go with Elizabeth too.

I adore Joan! I was originally thinking Joan as a first name but Elizabeth is a family name that we wanted to use

Elizabeth Fern

Elizabeth Rain - I like Rain as far as short and unusual girls middle names a lot. Rhymes with James though.

Elizabeth Fay - Fay and Kay much rarer than May and Rae.

Elizabeth Gwen - Gwen much rarer than Grace.

Elizabeth Faith - my favourite of the short virtue middles.

Elizabeth Celeste - same rhythm as Marie and Louise but less usual. I just really like Celeste though.

I would like to meet a baby Joan! It isn’t really my style of name but it’d be kind of cool. Heading off topic now, how about Dorothy Joan?
