It's nearly February!

Now that I seem to have become a bit of a permanent member of the TTC forum (haahaa...  oh no that's sad), I thought I might kickstart another testing forum.

I'm due to O on the first of Feb... due sometime middle of Feb. Second month on letrozole. I have an IVF appointment on Feb 18th, so it's beat the doctor time for us.

Lots of baby dust and luck to everyone this month

xx

I hope you do beat the doctor!

I'm back too. It's been 7 months TTC, 2 miscarriages and I'm really ready for a successful pregnancy!

I'm due to ovulate on the 11th of Feb. I usually temp all through my cycle but I've decided to take a break and will just temp to confirm O. It makes me a little crazy otherwise 😜

Going to the doc on Wednesday to ask for a progesterone test as I spot for 5 days before and is due.

Exciting times ahead for us all!

Pupperino I have my fingers crossed for you. Is this your first appointment with the FS?

Pmac temping can be a bit addictive can’t it! I like to think of it as being able to do something through the month even when I’m not ovulating/in the tww hehe.

I am officially CD1 today afte Le stopping the bcp last week. No idea how long cycles will be or if my one remaining ovary will do anything this month .. I plan on temping and using OPKs anyway!

Baby dust to all xxx

Aw, sorry to hear about the mcs. I'm sure you will be third time lucky *fingers crossed* xx

Hope the doctor does the test for you... I have heard many stories of doctors dismissing spotting as a problem. Be sure to let us know how the appt goes :)

Thanks lovely x

I've already had my investigations and appt with the FS, she put me on letrozole to try for a few months before IVF. My next appointment is planning for IVF treatment - sigh!

Hope your cycle gets back on track quickly! I wish I could stick with temping but I absolutely hated it! I tried it for two weeks during my first month TTC and never did it again lol!

I just use OPKs to get me by! :)

Feb will be my most hoped for BFP cycle...it’s the best chance I’ve got! Have a lap this week and after 2 years TTC I’m hoping I do have some form of endo and they manage to clean it up and get me my BFP without having to start IVF! I think I get 3 months after the lap to try before we go on to expensive treatment. I really hope I’m one of the lucky ones :(

Aw, I hope the lap goes well. Fingers crossed that it is your cycle! Looks like we are both trying to beat the doctor x

Bumbleflop I have everything crossed for you that this will be your month. Let us know how your lap goes x

I hope everyone beats the doctors.

My brother and sister in law have just announced their pregnancy to the family. The ones who don't know about the MCs are asking when we will be announcing a pregnancy. I wish people would just stop asking.

I love them so much and have no jealous feelings at all which feels great 🙂 so that's a positive.

Thanks guys :) I’m not so freaked out by the lap anymore and much prefer doing it vs straight to ivf so fingers crossed it pays off! Pupperino I really hope you are one of the lucky ones that the FS talks about...the ones that get the BFP at the last minute before IVF :)

Pmac it’s so hard trying to come up with new excuses when you get asked why u don’t have a baby yet. I just say I have my babies...but they are furry. Big hugs!

Pupperino - seriously, here’s hoping me and you both graduate soon!

I’ve never been as excited for CD1 before, but I wasn’t hopeful for this month, why should it be any different from the last 12? And that means bloodwork tomorrow, and hopefully starting injections for my first ivf cycle tomorrow!! I’m beyond excited, if only to figure out where it’s all going wrong. But also hoping maybe we’re among the lucky ones who just needed the extra ivf push to get there. Fingers crossed!

Hey guys! Cycle 14 for me and another one trying to beat the doctor lol.  Due to O around the 6th Feb

We're booked in for our IVF counselling session on the 18th Feb and just trying to decide whether we start IVF straight away (next cycle due 20th Feb) OR we keep trying a couple more months and finally have our wedding in March/April!  We got engaged April last year and I've done nothing on wedding prep as all our focus has been on TTC.  Luckily we're doing a very low key small backyard wedding so won't take much planning.

I'm leaning towards putting off IVF and getting excited about the wedding planning, I'm so sick of putting our lives on hold TTC!  And I don't want to schedule the wedding during stims or retrieval so might be better just to do it before we start this next journey.

My plan for this cycle is to not track anything, just BD every second day. No tracking and no expectations.  Like you Beaches I just feel like why would this cycle be any different to any of the others.

Best of luck for your lap Bumble and good luck with your bloodwork and first day of stims Beaches - let us know how you go!

Was holding off posting in here hoping to get a BFP this cycle but BFN this morning at around 10/11DPO 😫😫😫
I know I’m still in with a chance but honestly not holding my breath... I’m so heartbroken!  I really thought we had it this month... I have ALL the symptoms I usually get when PG! And we had 2 awesome looking follicles which literally should have doubled our chances...

But oh well... not our turn I guess!

So waiting for AF to arrive (should be here Saturday) then start Letrizole again on CD3! Scan CD10 & then trigger around CD13...

Actually not sure how I will go with the trigger travelling overseas???

And to top off my crappy start to the week... it’s my kidlets first day of school & it’s the first time EVER I wasn’t there to get them ready & drop them off! 😢😢😢 Had the biggest cry & decided to go up to the school to see them in to their classrooms atleast!

Having such a crappy emotional day & it’s not even 9am 😫😫😫

Peebs - Cycle 14 for me too - twins!
That's so exciting about your (possibly) upcoming wedding!! It sounds like it would be a lot of fun to plan, since you don't want to plan something big and terribly complicated. A small wedding is so much fun, I'm actually excited for you! Not to push you either way, but it does seem like it would be a great activity to distract yourself from this frustrating ttc business. Please let us know what you decide, and maybe share some pics if you go forward with it

Thanks Beaches, I'm definitely leaning towards that way, as much as I know we are running short of time and the chances of us conceiving naturally now after so long trying is slim it is SO refreshing to have something else on my mind and to google lol.

At the end of the day too, we're TTC to add another human to our tiny family but we need to look after ourselves first.

It's going to be a surprise wedding too to add to the fun! Only my Mum and Dad and my bestie know about it, everyone else will think they're coming to a 'meet the other side of the family' BBQ

I’m sorry people keep asking :( I don’t think people realise how inappropriate it is. I’d be inclined to just stare at them and say nothing.. x

Hey Bumble, can I ask you what a lap is? Sorry I’ve seen you mention it a few times but I’m not sure what it is :)

#16 Bumbleflop

It’s a Laparoscopy to see if I have endometriosis, it can also be used to treat endometriosis if found. I’ve never had a BFP in 2 years of TTC and there is no known reason as to why. I have a lot of spotting during my LP which GPs just ignore but my FS said it is the most common symptom of endometriosis. The fact I have light non painful periods is irrelevant. The lap plus flushing of my tubes at the same time will hopefully get my my BFP :) if endometriosis is found that is...if removed then the inflammation I have should be reduced/eliminated so that my body isn’t killing my hubbies swimmers. That was a bit longer than intended haha

Peebs you should totally get into the wedding planning! I would have loved a backyard surprise wedding, so many reasons to go for that option! The distraction will do you well while you are dealing with the prospect of IVF. Just don’t get too upset over any wedding stuff, stay flexible and try to not sweat any of the little things. You sound like a chilled out sort of chick so I think it will definitely be good for you guys, don’t keep holding off :)

Just to add...id only do IVF prep stuff before your wedding, leave the treatment cycles until after and get all of the name change stuff done and out of the way (if you are doing that of course lol). Then it’s a fresh start, you got a husband, a new name and the beginning of your next step in the baby making process. What a year!! :)

I’m back again this month! Good luck to all and especially to those trying to beat the Dr. I have my fingers and toes crossed for you all.

We’re now on our 5th cycle trying, and this month I’m armed with my Ava as well as temping, CM tracking and ovulation tests. I think I O’d on Saturday the 26th but then copped a bout of gastro on Sunday evening and am only just recovering now. Strangely enough I got a second round of EWCM today, which hasn’t happened before...does anyone know what to make of that?

My temp had started to rise but then I got sick so I’m assuming it was O the first time around and not the second but can’t be 100% given I was running a fever from Sunday night until today which has totally stuffed up my temping ☹️

Also, tmi but my nipples have been sore and sensitive the whole time...

Sad to see some familiar names back in Feb :( - fingers crossed for you all x

@Beaches - haha, I had a little chuckle at "hope we can graduate soon" - kinda feels that way! It's TIME TO GO to the next stage! When do you start injections for IVF? CD2? I'm just wondering if I can start immediately in March or if I will miss out because I might be CD4 at the appointment?

@pmac - it's so frustrating when people feel like they can nose around with something so personal. Both my parents have done that to me over xmas - trying to convince my cousins to "convince me" to get pregnant soon. Like... wtf!!

@Peebs I can relate to not putting things off... I think taking your mind off TTC and focussing on something else can make such a difference!

@BabyBlessed  - hope you are still in it.. It's still early!

@Mish - Good luck... I think it's too hard to know. Getting sick can really mess things up. But if you covered your days - it should all be fine!

Pupperino - I had my ivf consult on Jan 10th, our "orientation" which IVF Australia requires before you begin, on Jan 23rd (we were away the whole week between those two dates), and my CD1 was yesterday, so it was a fairly quick turnaround. And yes, you start injections on CD2, so I just finished my first one about 20 minutes ago! I'm a little bit proud, DH saw me doing it and his eyes went a bit wide - I think he's finally understanding the lengths I'm willing to go to for us to have a baby, which feels good that he's witnessing it now. Really hopeful this works!

As far as starting quickly, I'm not sure if your FS will require an orientation session before you start, or may allow you to start right away. It also depends on whether they have you do a down-regulated cycle, where you take bc pills for a few weeks to get your hormones to a neutral position. Mine didn't have me do that, but many people I know who've done ivf have done that. I wish I could give you more concrete answers, I was also so, so eager to start quickly! Crossing my fingers for you!

Those of you looking to start IVF feel free to ask me anything you like... I have done 4 IVF/ICSI Cycles & I also did 2 egg donor cycles! So I’m very experienced with the entire process so please if you have any questions... absolutely anything at all (nothing is a silly question) then please feel free to ask! 😘

Hi Ladies!
New thread, new cycle! Had light spotting/flow yesterday so called the FS who said to count as CD1! Yess! I’ve never been more freaking excited to have AF as it ends a whopping 103 day cycle for me. I didn’t ovulate last cycle, so this month will mean mainly progression of bloods. I know it’s not super exciting, though it means moving forward for me and a more realistic chance of trying for us.
Good luck ladies!

AF just arrived for me too, so I'm back for another month. Ah well, at least I can have some wine!
