Just wanted to write here that work is going well. I have managed not to let the nasty colleges bother me or more accurately put the one college who ignores me. I mainly keep to myself at work and try and stay out of people's way. It's been a big learning curve being back in the workforce but I think I am finally getting the hang of things.

I wanted to add well done to you!

Plus lend some support..I recently returned to the workforce after 20years! Massive learning curve and still finding my way. Has sparked my anxiety. Feeling a bit lost lol.

There are others like us out there too..all the best to you x

Sorry to derail, but I’ve been out of the workforce for six years and can’t get an interview, let alone a job 😧! How did you manage to get back in the game?

Oh, congratulations btw!

I think it was really just luck quite honestly. It’s an admin:customer  service job and it was nearly the 40th one i had applied for. The manager is older like me and I’ve now learned was hoping to find someone more ‘mature’ like me 😂  My resume is lacking a lot except for school positions so my guess is that it was my chatty cover letter. I think I was just lucky. I am incredibly grateful and was desperate.

Keep trying! And don’t give up. It’s very difficult I know x

Oh, congratulations btw!
