Ms hopeful don’t lose hope yet! It’s still too early for you I think... I have all my fingers and toes crossed for you that you get a happy surprise on Monday. Xox

I think I’ll wait til the bt and save my 2 frers for after that... also means another 24-36 hours of dreaming lol.

Maufie - glad the line is still there for you.

CK - happy to hear EPU went well and I hope you get a positive fertilisation tomorrow.

Hopeful - I’m always too scared to test too. I really hope the AF stays away.

Mara - Oh that’s a wonderful idea telling her when it’s positive, she’ll be so happy.

I was able to start today. 450 gonal F is a lot but really hope the new protocol gets us there. About to head to bed, I’m taking melatonin on this cycle and it’s making me super sleepy!

Good luck Joany! I took melatonin this cycle and really enjoyed getting knocked out :p

Thanks Maufie - I had the worst sleep! It was really hot here in Sydney and hoping that was why. I was exhausted and so looking forward to being knocked out 😭

Joany, hope it was heat related. I never sleep well during this process.

Maufie, so excited for you for tomorrow!

Ck, hope you get a great result today and good luck with the scans Jelly and Mara.

Theia, hope you are doing ok on stims.

I am 6dp5dt and sadly today had some pink spotting. I’ve had this previous cycles and I always spot before AF so I have my answer sadly.

Ms hopeful I’m so sorry to hear about your spotting- and while part of me wants it to be implantation related, I know too well the feeling of knowing your own body. But I will say that not all hope is lost, definitely still go for your beta on Monday, and I will be hoping for a miracle surprise for you.

If this embryo isn’t your baby, there is still every chance that one of the frosties is just waiting for its chance! Sending many hugs xxx

And I’m sorry you didn’t sleep well Joany! Heat is the worst :/

Did your FS recommend the melatonin or was it something you added on your own? I just did it myself after reading it starts with the egg...

#58 Joany

Posted 06 November 2018 - 10:39 AM

Oh hopeful I’m so so sorry. The hope in me says maybe it’s nothing but I know you’ve been here before so can imagine your disappointment. Sending you the biggest virtual hug I can give. I truly truly hope it just disappears!!!

CK - hope that egg of yours is fertilised. Are you doing something fun in Melb for Melbourne cup?

Maufie - my new FS recommended it actually and now remember them talking about it in it starts with the egg. I have to go back and read why they suggest it as I can’t remember. So hopeless. Good luck for BT tomorrow, will be stalking for results.

Jelly and Mara - hope you’re both doing well.

@joany - I am on melatonin too, my FS recommended it. I sleep very well most nights for ages.

@hopeful, I really hope the spotting is unrelated or a positive sign. But I can imagine it would be very disappointing. I hope one of the other frozens is your BFP waiting

@maufie - I am so impatient for your beta tomorrow. Not long to wait now. so many fingers crossed

@mara - yes twinges are exciting, i hope that means you are getting some good growth. My bestie did a sleepover yesterday after my EPU (usually it's mum but due to public holiday my friend came instead). We had a great time in trackie pants drinking tea and watching movies. I hope your friend gets there soon

@theia - hope the stims are going well and you get some good growth

@jelly - did you have your scan today? Hope it went well

AFM my egg fertilised into an embryo :) I confirmed I wanted a day 2 freeze since I only get 1 egg each time. I know day 5 is higher chance but when you only have 1 ... I actually wont be able to transfer it next cycle because I have an overseas work trip and I have cancelled so many work trips this year I really want to go to this one. But I might be able to sneak in another natural cycle collection before I go. just need to see how the dates line up.

I am heading to a BBQ for Melb cup shortly, so happy cup day all wherever you are xx

MsHopeful, I second what everyone else has said.  I know you know your body but it isn't definite, hopefully this is implantation spotting, I imagine it would feel the same? Will you hold out til your BT or poas before then? Fingers crossed for you xxx and it is great you have back up if you need them

Thinking of you ❤

Very happy for your embryo Ck! I hope you get to put it back sometime soon :) xox

Hi Ck, congrats on having an embryo! It must be hard to wait to transfer but at least you have it now and you can give your body a rest. Or have another collection! At least as it's natural it won't be too stressful on you. That's great you had a friend stay, mine is flying down next Tuesday for epu on Wednesday and flying home Thursday. I didn't realise how much they change dates around depending on your response, hopefully my epu stays on Wednesday but we'll have a nice time anyway. Enjoy your bbq day, you must be feeling great knowing you're embie is there for you 🙂

Joany that's great you've gotten started, what a shame you didn't sleep last night, hopefully you'll pass out tonight.  I've struggled with sleep for a long time now but I actually felt sedated last night (no melatonin) and slept like a log. Hopefully it catches up to you tonight xx

Maufie omg tomorrow is nearly here, did you hold out this morning?

Jelly have you had your scan? I had my 5 day progress scan this morning and cried with relief. My left ovary which hasn't been seen in a couple of years has woken up and has 3 follicles, my right has 3 as well. Not as many as a lot of you but I am happy with that and my FS was happy, she said it was a great sign. She said sizes but I don't remember, she did say they were not too big and not too small 👍🏻
So i start 250mg cetrotide tonight and continue 300 menopur in the mornings, next scan on Monday. I have had a few side effects including the metallic taste and bloating but that's ok if I keep feeling those twinges!

Theia I hope your stims are going well too, lots of love and crossed fingers to everyone xxx

MsHopeful - I'm sorry about the spotting. Hopefully your BFP is in your frosties if this is not the one.

Mara - congrats, that sounds like a great start, especially if your left side doesn't usually come to the party.

Ck - yay for an embie!

AFM - Good scan today, all on track for Friday EPU. Last day of shots tomorrow and trigger tomorrow night. Looks like about 11 good size follicles and another 3 or so close and may catch up.

Mara that sounds great that you have 6 follicles:) I’m glad the protocol is working so far for you.

Yay jelly only one more day! I hope you aren’t feeling too uncomfortable and good luck for epu on Friday.

I didn’t poas today just waiting for tomorrow... xoxo

Sending good vibes and hope to all

That's great Jelly! 11 - 14 follicles sounds great I hope you're feeling good, it's very close now.

Good on you Maufie, can't wait for tomorrow! 🤞🏼

Thanks ladies I'm really happy with my 6, and my left side coming to the party was a huge relief. 😊

Hello ladies!

I hope I’m not intruding. I’ve just started my very first cycle of IVF this week.. first injection today! Love reading everyone’s experiences, it’s somewhat comforting. It also makes me feel less crazy.. there’s so much going on in my head during this journey it’s humbling to know that maybe others are feeling the same way.

I really hope you all get those BFP’s you are after! Hopefully this month is filled with good vibes and possibilities for lots of healthy little embryos!

AFM hubby and I have only been TTC for a little over a year for #1. Both in our early 30’s. Initially hubby had a low sperm count, which has now improved but remains borderline. I also have a borderline normal/low AMH. We have a few other little things but basically our FS said we are both in great shape to start IVF... so here we are CD2 starting this journey. Let the jabbing begin!

Thinking of you all and hoping this month is kind.

xx

Hi mella,

Welcome and good luck for your cycle. I agree it is so comforting to share here and have the wonderful advice and stories of the lovely ladies here.
Well done on improving hubbies sperm count, that's great. I have low amh as well, hopefully the stim drugs helps us 😊

I just had my first cetrotide, not sure if it is the same as orgalutran but it definitely stings and itches for a while, I don't have that with the menopur. I also have a headache coming on already! That's ok though, i'll do whatever it takes.

Hi mella, hope your stay here is very short! It's a great place to get support from others going through the same thing.

Mara, that's great you had a better scan and the ovaries have woken up! When is the next scan?

Maufie, one more sleep eek! I will be stalking for your results, and good work on not doing another test today!

Joany, hope you're going ok with the higher dose. When is your first scan?

CK, that is great you got the embie and now you can let the body relax before transfer. Hope you can sneak another cycle in before the trip.

Jelly, sounds like you've got some great numbers. All the best for Friday.

And thanks everyone for the thoughts and support, I have resigned myself that it is over for this month and will ask to move the BT to Friday or Saturday so it's not hanging over me. I want to speak to my FS about looking into any issues causing no implantation before more transfers but last time I asked, he said it was all to do with the egg so not quite sure where to from here.

Sending many hugs msHopeful and I hope your FS Is open to investigation if you’d prefer some tests before trying your frosties. I so so hope your bfp bean is frozen right now.

Welcome mella! I hope your stay with us is short and sweet and second Mara and ms hopeful that it’s great to share with ladies who know what this struggle is like. Many good luck wishes for your cycle :)

I will update everyone as soon as I can tomorrow- hoping for a number over 100 at the equivalent of 16dpo, as I read today that some study has shown that 73% of betas over 100 on that day turn into ongoing pregnancies. Of course there are many under that number that also turn out to be perfectly healthy bubs but it would be so lovely to have some odds in our favour for the tense time ahead - the next three week wait until the viability scan.

Whatever happens tomorrow I’m hoping to hang around here for awhile longer- I’m so keen to see everyone here get our sticky bfps xxxx

Thanks so much Theia and Mara- I got the call. Hcg is 130- which the nurse says is ok for 16dpo- next bt will be on Monday.... I think I’m more nervous for Monday’s test than I was for today’s.

It definitely doesn’t feel real yet, and I’m so so so hoping it sticks. X

Sending love to all xox
