SOS ladies!!!

I had a 5 day blast transferred on Wednesday morning. I did a hpt yesterday to ensure there was nothing showing from trigger, it was completely clear.

This morning I did another, AND I’m positive I can see a vvvvvvvvvvvvvvvfaint line!!! If I took a pic you wouldn’t see it but if I hold it in the light I’m sure it’s there!!

Now am I going crazy or could it pick something up this early??

Im feeling a tad nauseous at the thought after 15 years of trying that this round may have possibly worked

Any advice for this nervous wannabe mumma???

Hi Zambi, welcome although it's sounding like you stay here could be a short one. 4dpt would be very early to get a positive but not unheard of, fingers crossed it's a true positive for you. It could be that your sample yesterday was more dilute so the hpt didn't pick up the trigger left in your system. Just got to wait it out unfortunately and test again tomorrow, good luck!

Blue Lavendar, how were your blood test results yesterday?

AFM scan on friday showed lining had not grown at all despite almost 3 weeks of high dose estrogen. I'll start pessaries tomorrow for a transfer on friday.

Thank you! I just did another and the line is now slightly darker. I think I’ll need to place a bulk order of hpt because I feel like I’ll need one every hour 🤞🏼

I’m embarrassed to say I’ve done 5 tests today!!!

The first one this morning you would think I was crazy to say I could see a line but it was there if you held it in the right light!!! The next was faint but more obvious, the rest have stayed the same darkness as the 2nd one.

Honestly I will be absolutely gobsmacked if this is confirmed, 15 years of unexplained infertility, you honestly keep trying but in the back of my mind never thought it would happen.

I know it’s very very early but to see even a very faint line has my mind going crazy. Let’s just hope it’s darker tomorrow and yes there’s hope for us all xxx

First scan today- only 2 follicles. I hoped for more, but estrogen levels are good. I really hope I make it to egg collection next Monday. Any further developments Zambia?

Oh my fingers are crossed for you bluelavender xxx
So it’s a definite line now, not dark but darker with each test. My bt isn’t until Friday but I’m going to call my clinic today and see if I can go tomorrow, Friday is soooo far away!!
It’s so bittersweet as it’s SO exciting to finally see a second line after all these years but then I suppress the excitement with all of the hurdles yet to overcome. Today I would only be 6dp5dt and the line is about half the strength of the not pregnant line so I’m hoping it’s just because I’m still pretty early along.

Zambia for my son, I did the test 7 days post transfer. it was very faint and then got stronger and stronger. We are very hopeful  for you as it gives hope to us. How many cycles did you do 8 years ago?

Thank you lovely x back when we began we did 3 rounds of IUI and from memory around 5 IVF cycles however back then it really wasn’t the norm to get them to blast so they were mainly fresh transfers with the rest frozen therefore I would have had around 15+ frozen transfers

Hi bluelavendar, if it helps any my best cycle started with only 2 follicles, which increased to 3 the day before trigger. Ended up with 5 eggs, 3 made it to testing and 2 were pgs normal. It is so hard to predict how a cycle will end up, hope your next scan shows a few more follicles turning up.

Assuming everything looks good with my blood test tomorrow I'll be doing my transfer on friday.

Good luck for Friday, sending positive vibes your way!!! Line is pretty dark now almost as dark as control line which has kept me sane seeing the progression. I’m just sitting here counting the minutes go by :/

“New friends” haha I’ll still be your friend!!

Yes we started naturally when I was 27, I’d had 2 children from
a previous relationship when I was 17 & 19. When nothing worked for some time we were tested and everything came back fine.

At around 30 we sought further help and I commenced clomid without luck. We then did a few rounds of IUI then went on to IVF at around 31. We did get a BFP however it turned out to be a blighted ovum (hence why I think I won’t rest until a scan assuming all goes well tomorrow)

After a few years of this it actually sent me a little crazy, I felt like I actually became obsessed with the situation, I pushed a lot of pregnant friends and family away and it just overtook our lives so we called it quits.

It didn’t meant we wouldn’t try again but we needed a break, i still thought about it every single day though and it took me years to build up the courage to talk to my husband about trying again.

On my 37th birthday I had a bit of a freak out that I was now in my late 30’s and we booked to see a new FS. We went to the appointment and as we were due to travel a few months after she recommended we wait until after that and we start again... I never went back.

So 4 years later at 41 I once again built up the courage, it is literally now or never for us and after 3 rounds it looks like it’s going to be good news tomorrow however I will continue to hold my breath until scans are confirmed and any other upcoming hurdles xx

How are you going bluelavendar? Any more updates?

Transfer went well today, now to find ways to keep myself distracted for the next week and stay away from the frers! I certainly hope I can graduate to a DIG but I won't desert you, with a bit of luck we'll both be leaving this thread asap!

Good luck with your BT today Zambi.
