I am close to a couple that also used those vows Yoda. It was more than 20 years ago, and while her Christian faith remains as strong as ever, I can safely say she is disillusioned with the concept of male headship and her role as “equal but different”. Her husband however remains entirely certain in his role in their Christian marriage. It makes for a difficult relationship at times.

It will be interesting to see how this relationship pans out over time. Given the divorce rate is nearly 50% and the husband has already been married, I am not betting in their favour.

Israel Folau's cousin 'let go' from his Catholic School where he tutors.
I look forward to IF supporters screaming for his reinstatement and free speech.

Mr Folau has been following in his famous cousin's footsteps positing religious remarks on Instagram.
One such recent post said: “If it was a sin 100 years ago, it’s still a sin today. Don’t water down the gospel for this offended generation.”
However, Mr Folau is reported to have gone further offline, directly attacking the Catholic Church.
Last month, the Sydney Morning Herald reported that Mr Folau had written to the parent of a member of the congregation who was concerned at the hard line stance of the preachings.
He is reported to have said: “Any devout Catholic person IS NOT A SAVED CHRISTIAN WHATSOEVER (his capitals). Look at Catholic doctrine, almost 100 per cent of it is false and is filled with lies.”
The SMH also reported the 20-year-old Mr Folau said, “Roman Catholicism is masked devil worship” and the Catholic Church was the “synagogue of Satan”.

if It’s so very bad, why did he apply for the job there?

Stay tuned for them setting up their own school.

They only have 22 people at their church - not enough for a school!

If Israel hadn't made all that money in football they wouldn't be able to offend all their employers etc - but the money won't last forever, and then what will they do?

Only need a few kids, some schools start with 3-5 kids.

I imagine this is all to promote and grow the church.

I'm fascinated that some of my very Catholic in-laws who were very vocal about RA "overstepping" and "freedom of speech" initially have gone completely silent on the issue.

I guess it's not so nice when it's you getting condemned to hell.

Yes and I also imagine it will be quite fine for a Catholic employer to sack someone based on what they've said on social media (but for some reason not okay for Rugby Australia).

Looks like Israel married a prostitute. Pretty sure there’s make up here.

Maria Folau plays for the Thunderbirds. And obviously shares the same views as her husband. She posted on her FB with a link to his go fund me page and a "please support my husband to fight Rugby Australia."

Netball SA apparently thinks that's fine. I do not.
