DH came up with this suggestion today. I'm kind of on the fence on the name over it but it's growing on me. Is it too, well "old"?

I think it’s lovely, and very much in line with the trend for using names that were popular in the 1920s-30s.

Ooh I like it! It’s in line with the beautiful older names that are back in fashion but not popular yet. It’s pretty.

My first thought was Aloe, but probably only because it is uncommon. Yet it's familiar and practical.

I think Vera Wang. Which isn't a bad thing (I don't think, unless I've missed something terrible about her).

I think it is a perfectly reasonable name. Easy to spell, easy to pronounce.

I'm not a fan of Vera.  Don't know why - just dislike it.

Love Veronica though.

It has an old-fashioned feel to it, maybe that could work for you?

My middle name is Veronica and I've always loved it (better than my Christian name!). Why not use Veronica and use Vera as the nickname? Gives the kid more options when she's older.

I thought you were talking about the British drama/crime series of the same name.

I actually quite like it.

All I can think is vinegar tits when I hear Vera.

But I love Prisoner and the modern version Wentworth.
