Sound promising Natx. It irritates me when drs insist on lmp as the best for EDD even when you know you don't have a 28 day cycle. This pregnancy is actually my first ever 28 day cycle so I've encountered this every pregnancy previously even when I'm sure of O date. Fx all is good and continues to go well

Same Stace! This was my first 28 day cycle since like... Birth hahaha. So for once I'm that normal pregnant person who's edd is based on their textbook cycle.

Have been reading and keeping up just haven't had much to post so far. Welcome to all newbies and positive vibes for those spotting or waiting for results.

AFM - had my first obgyn appt Friday (4w0d) and HCG was 330, she was going to do an internal but I peed twice while waiting for my appt haha! So she did a quick abdominal one and saw thick uterine lining. Progesterone was 29 which is awesome. Will continue Pessaries till 12 weeks. HCG on Monday was 950 (68 hours between tests) so all looking good. Have appt at 6w3d to see a heartbeat (all going well of course). Can't wait :)
No real symptoms yet. Doc gave me a script for maxalon for when the sickness kicks in - last time was around 7 weeks. Otherwise just a bit of fatigue and being tired from early afternoon.

Good luck ladies.

Hi girlies! I’ve been a bit MIA this week but have been following with the daily email digests - just hard to keep up with a toddler in tow and working from home! Hopefully I can be a bit more involved in the fb group :)

Had my first Drs appointment yesterday and then went for blood tests and all today.. 5w3d and still not really feeling anything except more tired than usual... somedays overwhelmingly so, others not so much at all.. very different from my first pregnancy but hoping all is okay.

Natx3 - I hope you got some positive results today!

Congratulations to the all new mummas that have joined us! sending you and your bubs all healthy & sticky vibes!

Hi All,

Tentatively putting my feet in here having come across from the AC boards.

This was my 4th cycle and having had a chemical I am very apprehensive. EDD of 27th Oct (IVF makes it accurate!)

And currently 4+5

I have a GP appt (i have to get a referral for OB - seems a waste of GPs time! FS should be able to refer, but i might ask for bloods just to check i am on track)

The my scan on 6=3, maybe too early to hear heartbeat, but i need it before OB appt which is the following week, as the week after we are going on a holiday (if i get the all clear!)

Other than that i am just sitting here waiting and hoping that this one is it!

so apparently my U/S only showed a sac but nothing else.  the Technician said it maybe too early and come back in 2wks.  Going to be a stressful two weeks, until I can rescan.

Welcome to all the new ladies!

I hope everyone is feeling ok. How are you today Natx?

8 weeks today and still rocking the hangover type nausea, been a couple of times I've nearly had to race to the bathroom to be sick, but so far I've avoided that. First ob appointment next Thursday so we will get to see bub again.

For anyone wanting to join the secret fb group, please pm me. No pressure to join though just am additional platform :)

I'm due 21st October. :) so excited

Hi natx - I’m in a similar boat. Dating ultrasound today but they only found the sac and a yolk. They measured them but it can only provide a range, not a date. It wasn’t bad news or good news. I’m sure of my dates but not the length of my cycles. I have 2 weeks then I see my obstetrician. I feel so disappointed that it’s such non-news.

Hi everyone, tentatively joining in here too. Bfp a couple of days ago and now 4w2d approximately. Trying not to worry too much as had CP last month and a MC last year. I'm actually due around 1 Nov but there's no group open yet and there's a decent chance I'll go early anyway.

I have 2 DS who are 3 and 5. Not having bloods until Monday just in case it's another CP though I'm bfp on a digi which I haven't had before. I was freaking out the last couple of days but feeling a bit happier/less stressed about it all now :)

No signs yet other than some mild bloating and increased hunger and some pelvic cramping (which I've had a lot previously). Hoping not to have too bad MS just waiting for another couple of weeks for signs to set in!

Welcome to all the new mammas!!

Hope it’s just the dates out Natx3. FX

I go for all my bloods tomorrow. I literally feel like there are so many more tests this time round!! Last two I don’t remember so many things! I feel so nervous, especially because I still have 2 weeks before my scan.

Been feeling really bloated the last couple days. Breasts are still tender (does anyone remember how long that lasts for?), no morning sickness yet, but I’m assuming it will hit sometime next week when I’ll be around 7 weeks.

Oh the waiting games! Grow babies grow!!

Welcome to all the new ladies! Great to see more babies coming for the end of Oct.

Natx - how frustrating. Hope it's all well when they do scan next time! FX

AFM - had my second blood tests this morning. All looking good, have to do another one in a week and then fert.specialist will book a scan. Not too sure what happens after that, I think after week 7 we are on our own. Should I be looking at booking appt already now for around week 10-12? I'm reading that many of you have already organized that.

No real symptoms as all the drugs are out of my system by now and I'm feeling absolutely normal. Though either I have gained weight or bloating is pretty bad. I don't fit in any of my jeans anymore!

Welcome all the new peeps!

Well i’ve hit 7 weeks today and now getting a terrible taste in my mouth and some nausea. I don’t know why I wished for more symptoms previously! Haha

Anyone have a good strategy for the bad taste? Its like a sweet metallic taste. I’ve tried frequent brushing, gum, strong foods. The only thing that helped was eating lemon.

Got my first ultrasound on Monday. Have this fleeting thought about twins. I took vitex and don’t know if that increases the risk? Will have to wait and see

#263 stace_wa

Woofwoof, I use mints to help with that awful taste, it takes the edge of at least and I don't like chewies.
I'm a little worried we will see an extra one at my ob appointment next week... They saw two sacs at my scan at 7 weeks but only one fetal pole and heartbeat. Hoping so much that everything is ok next week.

Advice please ladies!!!

Hey guys, I’m just looking for some advice here based on my latest discussion with my doctor. Not my typical Dr though.. My original HCG test was 18, two days later it was 68 today it was 162 (cd29 so super early). So based on my knowledge it’s okay, yes on the lower side but I thought okay because it doubling every 48 hours. However the doctor with no bedside manner told me that you should be in the thousands...  I’m not even four weeks yet. Should I be worried? I’m so confused and it’s is super stressing me out :(

Hello to everyone!

I'm plodding along, over 8 weeks now which seems crazy.

Not too many symptoms except like you Woofwoof this god awful taste in my mouth!! I never had it with my first two kids (this is number 3) and oh my goodness, I can't deal. Experimenting with every possible technique (gum, juice, mints, etc etc). It's making me feel wretched. Gah.

Ohhhelllllo - that doctor sounds rubbish. Being so early those numbers sound fine! I don't understand how seemingly intelligent people can have such a bad bedside manner sometimes. Like how hard is it to be empathetic and kind??

Have a good weekend everyone x

Ohhello, that Dr sounds clueless. Those numbers sound fine to me for your gestation, a little low, but still doubling within time. My hcg this time wasn't fantastic, 28 at 4 weeks, 74 2 days later and they continued to rise at an acceptable rate with a perfect scan at 7 weeks. My hcg took ages to get in the thousands, a low number, even doubling well can only get so big so quick..

Thanks so much Stacie and nephaline. It make sure me feel like there is hope. I was so upset tonight.
I’m seeing my normal doctor tomorrow and assuming I will keep doing blood tests to check levels. Fingers crossed they skyrocket.

Ohhello I agree that the Dr sounds clueless!

My HCG was 126 at 3 weeks 5 days and 300 at 4 weeks exactly. My GP was very happy with those numbers because they were more than doubling in 48 hours.

There is a very wide range of "normal" for HCG levels. Your numbers sound fine to me for before 4 weeks. I certainly wouldn't worry they are in the thousands yet. The doubling is the important issue.

Nepheline- Glad I’m not the only one with minimal symptoms! Apart from the off bout of nausea and fatigue I’m feeling pretty good. This is pregnancy number 5 and hopefully baby number 4! I’ll be 9 weeks Monday :)

Ohhhhello- I wouldn’t be concerned. I can’t recall my numbers but they definitely weren’t doubling as they should have been and I had a perfect scan at 7 weeks. Fingers crossed for you x

hi ladies, i went to see my normal GP yesterday, and she has said that she is completely happy with my hcg levels given how early i am. phewww.
i also dobbed in the other awful doctor lol!

i feel like i am now full of fear though rather than excitement after the other day. im analysing everything.. the moment i feel okay, i then worry i should be feeling sick (even though my mum had super smooth pregnancies with no symptoms)

Dctr has given me some names of obgyn's so now need to decide if we go public or private.

Well that’s good news ohhhhello! It’s so hard not to stress in pregnancy! So many things out of our control.

My morning sickness has started. First thing in the morning it hits, so far just retching but from memory it will increase 🙄. Had my bloods done on Friday, can’t believe how many more tests they do now than my first pregnancy. Should get my results tomorrow which is good. Hopefully all is fine!

Hi Ladies
Just dipping my toes in here, currently 5+2, this is my 4th pregnancy but hopefully first baby, we have been TTC for 3 years with ovulation induction for the last 2 years and have had one pregnancy with abnormalities, one which ended in a miscarriage at 7 weeks and one with a ruptured ectopic and 5 weeks. My fertility specialist has been tracking my bloods closely and my numbers have been going up, just waiting for my dating scan which is next Thursday.
So far the only symptoms I have had is tiredness, crazy bloating and sore boobs. Looking forward to hopefully sharing this journey with you ladies.
Based on my ovulation dates I think I’m due 27th but that may change after the dating scan.
