Yay! So glad all is good stace! I’ve got my dating scan next Tuesday so just hanging in till then. I have one more clear blue digital so might do that in a couple days just to be sure haha I may as well use it!

Ancla&owl did they call you? I wouldn’t trust the ebay ones ittook ages for me to get a good positive on those last time I used them! Plus remember your still very early.

Yay StaceWA that's fantastic!!!!

Waiting for the dr to call, I rang the surgery and the results are in but he was on his lunch break. This waiting game is killing me!

I'm starting to think I shouldn't have trusted the Ebay ones! I think the thing that's freaking me out is with DD my HCG was so high that I started vomiting 1 week before AF was due and both my GP and OBGYN though it was a multiple pregnancy as it was so high. This time round it's no where near as high, only had 2 days of vomiting (which could be a blessing in disguise!!!!)

I am totally stalking this thread for your results Ancla&Owl lol the ic hpts are awfully unreliable to track progression, I've never found they consistently get darker, even from the same batch!

Thanks ladies I was so relieved! Off to our OB appointment this morning to go over my medical history etc. I can't wait to meet him, I've changed from the OBGYN I had for DD :)

Hi everyone,

So excited to be finally joining a DIG :)
Got my BFPs this morning, on a FRER and Clearblue digital!
I am booked in this arvo with the Dr to get bloods done :)

My estimated due date is 14th October.

I may have a lot of questions along the way as this is our first ever pregnancy.

Fingers crossed we all have a healthy and happy 9 months, looking forward to sharing this exciting journey with you all!

Great to see you here serendipity! Congratulations!

I hope the group starts to get a bit bigger, we are still pretty small here lol

How's everyone feeling? I'm still pretty light on symptoms wise and don't know how much is the pregnancy and how much is the hormone support.
I'm nauseous regularly during the day but not been sick yet. Tired, but DD has been sleeping really badly too. Some mild cramping which I know it's normal. Boobs aren't sore yet either. I know my levels are still fairly low, but rising well though.

Welcome serendipity91! Lovely to see you here! Sounds like some promising positives for you. Goodluck with your bloods!

Don’t worry stace not too many symptoms here either. Bit crampy and bloated and that’s it. But I’m not complaining, my pregnancy with my son was cruisy as well which was nice so happy for it to stay like this 👍🏻

Congratulations Serendipity! Welcome, and feel free to ask as many question as you need to!

I'm feeling surprising well, considering how I felt this time last pregnancy! OB wrote me up scripts for medication which I am so grateful for, my last OB made me wait til 14 weeks when I'd lost 8kgs :( My appointment went well and I'm back in 2 weeks for another scan to make sure bub is implanted where he/she should be! My boobs are really sore and I am really tired.....I feel like baby brain has already kicked in!

When are we all looking at first scan?

All going well with my bloods today my fs is thinking Monday 12the for dating at 7 weeks by lmp. It can't come soon enough!

I’m having one this coming Tuesday but only to check position. I’ll be 6 weeks 1 day so probably won’t be a heart beat yet. Not sure how long after that I’ll have another.

Just got my blood test results from yesterday which was still only 11dpo, HCG was at 50 (apparently should be around 24 ) so I am happy with that since it's still so early. I haven't even officially missed AF yet! I also POAS again today and the line is heaps darker so guess my HCG has risen already since yesterday :) Yay!
But my thyroid was 2.83, which she said is slightly higher than we would like to see in first trimester but can change depending on the time of day it is tested. So they want me to retest tomorrow, then go back in Monday to see the Dr. It may just mean I need to take thyroxine for the duration of my pregnancy.
Fingers crossed that is all that is going to be wrong!
Seems weird, I only had my thyroid levels checked a month ago and they were 2.43 (normal).
Anyone else had that?
My dating scan is in 3 weeks (just in time for DH to get home from work, so that is perfect).

I had a scan yesterday and will be back again in 2 weeks when I'll be 6w2d.

Last pregnancy I was seen fortnightly up until 20 weeks then again from 30 weeks. Hoping this time around I don't have to have so many appointments....cost a small fortune!

I'm not sure if my thyroid was test Serendipity, it may have been but I haven't had any issues with my thyroid. That's great timing! :)

Serendipity, I haven't had my first trimester screening bloods yet. I had everything done prior to my fs appointment the week before I got my bfp though so I don't think they were too concerned. My thyroid test was slightly high with DD and I never went on medication as if didn't get worse, they just monitored it.

I'm so anxious about getting my results today from yesterdays bloods... I think even though my levels have been rising will because they are still quite low I'm going to worry until those numbers get right up. Hopefully only a few more hours until I find out and I'm trying to keep busy at work, but I'm so distracted!

Got my results. Fs is happy with them, but I was hoping for some higher numbers, still well within range though.

Hcg 2391
P 53
E 660

So my progesterone has dropped a bit despite being on pessaries... Estrogen is up and hcg is doubling every 50 hours, it does slow down after 1200 hcg though so looking good

My scan referral is getting sent today for the 12th so I should get a call to book that this arvo or Monday.

Fx things keep going well! My anxiety isn't as eased as it has been on previous results though I know they are still good...

That's great the fs is happy with them, I think as Mum's we're prone to stressing especially as it's not an easy journey to get here in the first place! Will keep my fingers crossed for you!

Hi! I’ve been reading the forums for a while but this is my first time posting! I’m joining you all and due in October. I saw my doctor last night and had the initial blood tests taken this morning. Will get the results on Monday. My estimated due date is 5th October. My husband and I are so excited and I just want to be able to tell someone! Looking forward to hearing all about your pregnancies and getting to know you all over the next 8 months!

Thank you!
This is our first pregnancy and my doctor wasn’t as helpful as I thought she’d be last night...I’m going to have lots of questions! I think I need to call to book in with an obstetrician next? And when do dating scans happen? Is it the obstetrician who gives the referrals for this?

#48 stace_wa

Posted 02 February 2018 - 08:50 PM

What state are you in Teddy? Each seems to have slightly different norms for care plans. I'm in wa and usually in the public system you just see a gp and they do all referrals up until 20 weeks where an ob takes over.

#49 Teddy17

Posted 02 February 2018 - 08:58 PM

I’m in Victoria and I will be going private. My doctor said the obstetrician will organise everything but didn’t really have too many details to share. She was a bit vague so I’m unsure.

It's disappointing when they are so unhelpful. I refuse to see my gp about anything pregnancy related as he's useless in that regard. I'm with my fs for a while still though.
Might be worth seeing what obs are around you and what hospitals they deliver at etc.
As far as information goes on the pregnancy itself feel free to ask anything here. There's some good apps too. I liked Ovia with my daughter and am using it again. I also used Babycentre and will again once we very a bit further along and there is so many more!
