Hi All. Me again. So this is my first time pregnant and have no idea about what I am suppose to be feeling. Have been reading all the comments and feel odd because I don't seem to have any symptoms at all. No MC at all, no smell issues, no cravings nothing. Just maybe a little more tired than usual.... I am 8+3 I think but dating scan this Saturday. Hope everything is OK because I don't feel pregnant :(

My first one too, so totally in the same boat. I think my google is about to wear out! The only thing I've really noticed is my boobs are huge and sore and I'm always hungry. But my sister (who's boys are 4 and 2) had not one symptom for the whole of her first trimester, so I don't think it's anything to worry about! I'm trying to remind myself a million times a day, everyone is different.

Hi everyone
I'm 8 weeks pregnant by my calculations... will be going for the dating scan on Friday.  I'm feeling really nervous, as I've started bleeding a little bit today.  I looked online and it seems to be common (1 in 4 pregnancies), but I'm still really scared!  My GP isn't available until Thursday, so I'll just go to the scan on Friday and go from there.

I have one beautiful baby girl who is 7.5 months, so the second pregnancy happened pretty fast!

Welcome to the newbies, good luck. It's a very nerve racking journey.

Just an update, I had my 10wk scan and everything was perfect. Did my harmony test the same day. So hopefully mid next week I will get results.

Is on and off cramping normal at 9 weeks?

Welcome everyone and good luck on your journey!

I'm 11 weeks today and am currently waiting anxiously for my OB to send my NIPT results to me via e-mail in the next few days, hopefully.

Shelly0 Very normal! As long as it's not severe and that there's no bleeding.

Sounds pretty normal Shelly.

Ms motchy good luck with your results I'm also waiting for test results. Had harmony done last Thursday so any day now I should have results. I'll be 11wks tomorrow.

If these results are all fine then we will tell family this weekend !!

Teah Thank you! Good luck with your test results too, I'm told the results should be ready within 3-5 days.

We are still thinking if we should announce at 12 weeks, which is next Wednesday or perhaps on our 4th wedding anniversary when I'll be 14 weeks.

Got my NIPT results back last week. Low risk and we are expecting another girl! I think DD will really enjoy having a little sister too.

Doctor called today and told me my harmony test needs to be RE-done!! So annoyed. This happened to me with dd also!!

So defeated, it's so stressful. I have my 12wk scan booked this Thursday, so they will check all measurements etc and make sure baby is on track.

But now I have to wait another 8 or so days for more harmony results. I want to scream. Looks like I have to hold off telling Ppl for another couple weeks. It's getting really hard to hide now.

Hope everything is OK though. With my DD they came back fine the second time but it was a painful wait.

Hope everyone else is doing OK.

Has anyone else been through this with harmony??

Oh Teah that is so annoying!  It happened to a friend of mine (not sure what brand she went through) and she asked them to prioritise hers because of the delay... they did it in 4 days.

My scan is this Thursday too!  I'll be 13 weeks.

So annoyed! I will be RE-testing tomorrow and I will definitely ask for them to prioritize mine also.
Thanks

This this happened with me! So frustrating. I waited 9 days for my result and was told it needed to be redone. I had mine redone a week ago so looks like no results until next week now. Mine was the harmony brand one too. I had no issues with my NIPT first pregnancy but I used a different brand.

Just an update, had two harmony tests done, one at 10wks and another at 12wks both inconclusive. So now have taken a NEST test. Waiting on these results which apparently are quicker 3-5days and there is a less chance of getting inconclusive result! Frustrated is an understatement!!!

hey guys, hope everyone is going well! Just a question, this is first pregnancy for me and i have a singles cover with bupa with top hospital and bronze extras.
What do i change to, to include the baby as soon as its born?

Hi Shelly0! I haven’t thought about this. I only use my private health care for teeth and eyes, and quite rarely at that, so I guess I wasn’t planning on getting private for baby until later. I’d be really interested to hear from others who’ve had babies already on this subject. xx

Hi Shelly
Call BUPA now and let them know - they put it on your file so you're ready to go as soon as the baby is born.  Do you also have maternity covered?  If you have top level hospital you might.  We are going private, but have also been able to get parenthood education classes covered by BUPA (normally $300).
