Maybe check the kids toys?

Are you suggesting Teddy went in and took the money?

I've done this and then remembered that I moved the cash myself to a different place.

There's a reason they keep their eyes open all of the time.

OP was anything mussed up in the drawer?

When we've had a break in, there's been stuff everywhere.  Unless it was taken by someone who knew exactly where it was, and was able to quietly remove it, it wouldn't be the only thing out of place.

Is that the only place you ever keep money?

Are any of your kids young enough to think it was a good idea to have a play with the 'monopoly' money?

Who's had access to your house/drawer in recent days?

How long since you've seen the money?

How many people have had access to the room in n the last week?

Sadly it's more likely to be someone you know than a complete stranger.
