Hey everyone, been trying for #2 since November and got bfp today at 9dpo, 3 positive frers although will test again in the morning and might do a cb digit Saturday. I have drs app tomorrow which I am a little nervous about as my usual GP started mat leave on Friday and I have never met the dr she has referymy history onto.
I had a high risk pregnancy with DD who is 14months, fortnightly checkups and monthly scans. I spent the last 5 weeks in hospital and had dd via planned csection at 36 weeks. My conditions have got worse due to my last pregnant my specialist doubt I would get close to carrying to 36weeks again.
I was in the ttc threads but my Brother died in feb and I stopped going on. Can't wait to get to know you all.

That's great 9years. I'm not sure why this thread won't let you attach the photo. I've booked gp for tomorrow as I'll be 16dpo i think and I'm a bit worried about this really severe back pain at time. So thought I would go tomorrow instead of waiting till Monday. I'll test first thing again just to make sure it's getting darker before I go too

Good luck at the GP tomorrow JustMarried!

Does your reply box have "More reply options" next to the post button 9Years? Thats where I can post photos.

I think I will head into the GP on Monday so long as the tests continue to get darker. I'll be 14DPO by then. Then my OB said I can come in for a HB check around 6 weeks! I'm so desperate to make it that far.

Welcome itscomplicated 😊

The 'more reply options' doesn't reveal a file attachment option as it. normally would....strange. Oh well!

JustMarried... definitely worth getting checked out if it's causing you so much discomfort. It could be perfectly normal (albeit annoying) but better to be safe!

Has anyone else got bouts of insomnia? Every night I seem to wake up in the early hours of the morning and can't get back to sleep. Usually around 3:30 but tonight it's 1230! Annoying as hell.

Welcome JustMarried, 123Babies4Me, fif76, DanielleSupa and ItIsComplicated :)

Just Married - I'm in Sydney - how about yourself?

Kee - Time is passing ok for me - I'm trying to keep busy and distracted!

I totally understand the self preservation thing. But from my past experience, friends and family can only support you through something if they know about it, so I am usually an early sharer with my nearest and dearest. The friends who distanced themselves, I do hope they didn't do it on purpose and it was just an organic thing as your lives went different ways. either way you have every right to feel upset about it and to keep your happiness to yourself for now.

HKT: I can totally relate to the feelings you're having. I was for some reason madly hanging out for hitting 6 weeks last time and it was right on the day I was 6 weeks that I started bleeding. I am so tense this time until I hit 7 weeks and know I'm into new territory than last time. Obviously the real wait is to get to 12 weeks but for me personally, anything after 7 weeks is an amazing feat. I also keep saying it's a different pregnancy and I need to not assume it will end the same way. Fingers crossed for us both!

I'm 19dpo today/4 weeks, 4 days and all seems fine so far - knock on wood! Still have twinges on and off, last night I had sore boobs, the heartburn seems to be settling but I'm a walking zombie. No amount of sleep seems to be enough and I keep sleeping in until the time I'm meant to be leaving the house and then throwing on the closest clothes and racing to work. I've managed to make it on time each day so far (luckily I'm the first one here as I unlock the office) but I usually wear nice colour co-ordinated clothes and always have my makeup and hair done. Right now I'm in jeans, a turtle neck knitted top and a huge old knitted cardigan with my hair in a messy bun and not a smidge of makeup on my face. I did manage to put on earrings today so it's an improvement. Maybe next week I'll turn up in my work slacks and the week after I'll try putting on mascara! lol

Sadly those friends who distanced themselves did so purposely. I went to the hospitals to visit when their kids were born and went to the Christenings, always asked how they were and loved seeing their adventures on Facebook and the like and over time they've stopped inviting me to birthday parties and a few months ago my friend had a baby shower and I only found out when my other friends posted pictures of the afternoon on FB all smiling together in the photos. Basically about 6 of my friends kept it from me and they all went - not just without inviting me, but without me even knowing it was being planned or organised and I didn't hear a word about it until it was over. I've not mentioned it to any of them but it was the final straw for me and I don't plan to share much with them. The friend who's baby shower it was has had the baby and sent everyone but me a photo as she's not keen on putting her kids pics on FB. Fair enough but I am the only one who has never seen her new son and I feel like they think my fertility issues mean I can't be happy for someone else. Let me decide that, I'll step away if I can't cope. Instead I feel like I've been rejected from my own circle of friends and it heightens the feelings of something being wrong with me which is hard enough to battle when you do IVF for so long in the first place.

Anyways, life is all about positivity for me now so I am not pursuing friends who make me feel negative. At this very moment, life is wonderful and that's what I have to focus on. The friends who are in my life will be over-joyed when they find out I'm pregnant again. It'll be awesome to tell them :)

That sucks Kee. That's really sad that they would do that to you in purpose. I hope your other friends will be there for you this time. I wouldn't give the others the time of day either if that's how you were treated on purpose.

Just came back from doctors just had blood tests for everything including hcg level. And for everything else as I haven't had a blood test in years and she just wanted to check everything. So no closer to knowing that I'm actually pregnant. Will probably find out Monday or Tuesday next week.
She also said I couldn't take anything for back pain and just try to rest as much as possible, which is hard as it hurts more at night when I lie down.

I don't know if it's to early but I've needed to go to the toilet 3 times last night when I went out to dinner. My friends were probably thinking why is she going so much haha.

Hope everyone else is progressing Well!

Kee- they don't sound like very good friends. I hope you have others that will be supportive.

Just Married- Friday drs appointments suck don't they! I also have one this arvo so won't get test results back until next week. Will be buying more tests whilst I'm out, I've used all the ones I had. Line on Frer is darker today at 10dpo then yesterday at 9dpo but getting not pregnant on cb digi. I know last time it was a few days before getting pregnant 1-2 on cb. Af due on Sunday so still only very early.

#34 JustMarried!

Itiscomplicated yeh they do suck I was going to wait to Monday but be cause of my back I went today. Even though she said I can't do anything. I'm 16dpo and I first tested on the day of my af due date and I got a faint positive and on the digi I got pregnant 1-2 but that was at 14dpo so after where your at atm. I tested at 12dpo on an internet cheapie and I had a clear negative so it came up in 2 days later.

I'll still do a cheap internet test over the weekend until I hear from the doctor with blood tests be cause then if it gets fainter I won't be disappointed. I have one digi left I think I'll leave that till Monday.
Hope your appointment goes well.

Thanks JustMarried Hope your back lets up on you soon, I have extra vertebrae in my lower spine (which will probably mean I can't have an epidural) so I am not looking forward to being big by the end of this pregnancy as I know my back will give me a hard time. I lost heaps of weight and it helped with the pain so I've been pain-free for over 2 years but I know I have a hard road ahead with this pregnancy. I am still not contacting my Dr about an appointment but may do it next week so we can start checking how HGC is going, last time it was low to medium in the scales for how far along I was (same as I am now, just over 4 weeks) and it was barely doubling every 24 hours so it was worrying right from the start. I didn't feel as bad as I do this time though so I'm hoping that means the hormones are a lot higher now. The waiting for results sucks so best of luck for it.

ItIsComplicated: Thanks :) The friends I have around me now are much better. My ex bestie did me a favour by walking out of my life as she was so demanding and time-consuming that it was hard to establish deeper connections with other friends as she acted like I was cheating on her! My best friend now is a work colleague who is amazing and she has 2 sons who are adorable and draw me pictures to stick on my fridge. We have a great time together and she's actually the first person who booked a flight to Hawaii to be there on my wedding day in October. I can't wait to share the day with her. Can't wait to tell her I'm pregnant again actually, when I told her the first time she was on her phone while having a pedicure and she saw the positive test pic I sent her and screamed the salon down! The poor nail tech was checking all over her foot to see where she'd cut her! She had to explain that the nail tech hadn't hurt her, she'd just found out her bestie was pregnant! lol She's a keeper for sure!

I have an upset tummy today, I don't think dinner last night agreed with me. I seem to only want savoury things like crackers and bread rather than anything with too much flavour. That's when I do eat, still battling with having zero appetite.

HI Ladies,

Tentaviley joining, had a BFP HPT last tuesday, went to the Dr for bloods, came back last night as equivocal so need to get retested next week. So crossing fingers this little one is sticking! If yes, will also be due on March 15th 2018 :) Congrats to all you of too

#37 JustMarried!

Hi Sarah what does equivocal mean? I hope you get a positive result from your next blood test.

Kee I was on the pill for the last 10 years and just got off 2 months ago. I went on it originally for back pain when I had my period. This pain is worse though and it's freaking me out that I keep thinking I'm going to get af. Seems worse at night but then I don't know if I'm constipated too. Sorry tmi.
Last night I was so hungry we went out to dinner. But today not so much I had a bit of red roaster for lunch and then started feeling sick. Smell is up though, I seem to be able to smell everything.

HKT I'm from Melbourne.

Justmarried- from what i understood from the doctor who was very confusing, its higher than 5HGC but not over 25 so they wont confirm positive but its not negative. so if next blood test is positive it means its going up. not sure of the exact level it is but did CB HPT today and was positive 1-2 weeks so there's something there :D and thank you, me too

#39 JustMarried!

Posted 07 July 2017 - 02:59 PM

Oh that's good. How many dpo are you? Yeh my doctor was really confusing as well before the blood test so I don't know how she's going to go when discussing the results from the test. It's hard as I don't have a regular doctor. So I really had no choice but to go to my regular clinic and just get anyone. Is this your first?

Hi guys just wondering if you calculate how far along you are from the first day of your last period?

#41 10YearsLater

Posted 07 July 2017 - 03:29 PM

JustMarried... if you have regular cycles then yes. First day of last menstrual period (LMP).

#42 JustMarried!

Posted 07 July 2017 - 03:31 PM

Ok thanks 9years. I was only off the pill a month and this was my second month trying. My first month was 32 days. This one was suppose to be 30 if I got my o days correct.

#43 10YearsLater

Probably best to get a dating scan in that case.

#44 3rdtimesacharm

Posted 07 July 2017 - 03:40 PM

Justmarried: im 14 DPO, i have really short regular cycles of 24 days so technically 4 weeks along.

#45 JustMarried!

Posted 07 July 2017 - 04:01 PM

It sounds like we are all around similar days. Sorry 9years for all the questions. I don't really have much idea what I'm doing haha and I have no close friends or family that have recently had a baby to talk about this with. If the blood test comes up fine I'll ask about a dating scan. Thanks for all your help.

#46 10YearsLater

Oh lovely, don't worry about the questions! That's what we're here for. I'm no expert but I have had a baby before and I work in a hospital so I can answer some things for you. Good luck with your blood tests x

JustMarried: Yep, I'm going on the first day of my last period. I have 26 day cycles and know when I ovulated (we'd been avoiding getting pregnant so I could fit in my wedding dress in October but we forgot right on the one day we should have been more mindful - not that either of us are upset about it!). I'm now 19 dpo and 4w4d along. I was due for my period on Monday so I'm 5 days late. I waited until Tuesday to test and only because the cramps/twinges I was having felt less like AF on the way and more like how I felt last time I was pregnant.

I will have it all confirmed by the doctor sometime next week. It's going to be tough to juggle things with work now as I went on to a full time contract as of July 1st after being a casual on full time hours for 2 years. Great for annual leave and maternity leave but sucky for now needing to come in late or leave early for doctors appointments like I used to do!

#49 JustMarried!

Posted 07 July 2017 - 04:47 PM

Yeh I think it's my app that's confusing me my last period started on the 5th of June so I though I was 4 weeks 4days but the app says I'm in my 5th week of pregnancy. So now I don't really get it. That's if bloods are all good and if I am actually progressing with this pregnancy. Need to keep going to the toilet at least once an hour and I'm not even drinking much. My breasts are starting to feel tender too. So I don't think I'm imagining all this and I assume with 6 positive tests I'm pregnant haha. I keep doubting it though.

Just Married: You are in your 5th week, 4 days into it hun. At the end of it you'll be 5 weeks pregnant. I know it's confusing but look at it like birthdays, your first year goes by before you're actually 1. Same thing, you're in your 5th week but you haven't reached 5 weeks until you get to the end of it. My last period started a day after yours so we're really close in dates. Actually, I'm 4w4d today too ... 3 days to go and we're both 5 weeks along :)
