Wedding photos turned out beautifully, so relieved. Photographer was an absolute delight to work with but I knew that from the reviews I'd read.

Oh Mands after the week you've had!

Thought I was feeling better but maybe not. Did some housework and cardmaking today so it's been pretty nice. My second baby turns 17 tomorrow. I don't know how this happened. Three kids are currently off at bowling for youth group, one dressed as a Powerpuff Girl. You may be happy to know it's the daughter. Girls are hilarious.

And a top of the evening to everyone. I just realised why my gin and tonic tasted funny.

I forgot to put any gin in it.

  LL

Tonic on its own tastes vile!

Evening all.

Thank you all for the birthday wishes. It was good, mostly. But a ruptured eardrum for a boy really was not a curve ball that I wanted.

Morning!  BB that's scary, how is doing?

I slept the sleep of the dead last night, most welcome.

DD is going to be acting manager this week while her boss has a break.  I hope the power doesn't go to her head!

For every comment I delete, he posts a new passive aggressive one. Now its about the fact we didnt tell him where we were going. Very tempted to point out that the whole point of eloping is to keep it a secret but I fear if I respond, it will kick off a further barrage. I'm surprised I'm not actually letting it bother me like I normally would. I'm annoyed, but not upset if that makes sense.

If someone carried on like that, I'd end up blocking them.

But good for you for not being upset by it, bc.

Really should do practical stuff.  It's a gorgeous day here, if cold.  Maybe a bit of time in the garden...

its beautiful out. We dont have a veggie garden here but I do have some large tubs so planning to get some spinach and bok choy in this weekend. Something home grown is better than nothing. Also starting to think about purchasing fruit trees so they have time to grow some before we move again.

We spent some time ripping out weeds.  I thought I ought to try to get the garden looking a bit less neglected before we left!

Actually there are some nice touches in it now that I put in; a dwarf lime tree, blueberry bush, a pineapple sage almost as tall as me (covered in red blossom), a wormwood.  But I just haven't had the time to be out there every week pulling all the weeds out!

I should be out gardening whilst DS2 sleeps but I'm not! A pineapple sage sounds very interesting though, I must look that up.

DH has taken DS1 to diary of a wombat at the theatre. I bought the tickets months ago, hopefully he likes it as he was very excited to go even though he had no idea what the theatre was.

The leaves have a lovely fruity fragrance/taste.  I sometimes put a leaf or two in with plain black tea.

I hope he enjoys it mands. Live stuff can be a mixed bag for kids, good story though.

Ange have you seen the Centre for Public Christianity and the lecture by Amy Orr-Ewing? It was very good.

Looks lovely too.

Bought a bare rooted apricot tree (same variety I had before). Thinking it I get in in a big pot, it gets a years head start for our new garden and its far more cost efffective.

I did some gardening today too, trimmed the mint bush and hosed off the verandah!
