Silver!

Jo, so sorry that your BT still showed no sign of O. FX for better news on Friday.

Thanks for thinking of me. My BT was still baseline on Monday so we went ahead with trigger and everything is in track for FET on Monday. Getting pretty excited!

Good luck Mrs P, glad to hear you are on track for your transfer Monday, not long to wait now!

(Oh I guess this makes me bronze!)

Hi everyone,

I'm new here...well, to this forum section at least. Had been posting in the other ttc forums for a while till we realised it wasn't going to happen due to MFI, and so, here I am. Started our first IVF cycle this week - I'm up to day 4 of Gonal F injections, starting orgalutran shots in the morning too. Am so glad I've found somewhere to chat with others going through this too. I'm just so scared.

Oh Good Luck Mrs P :) onwards and upwards :)

Hey Poppy. Don't be scared.  I know it is easier said than done.  You will be right...just keep taking one day at a time :) we are all here for each other so anytime you need come and have a chat we are here :) I go AWOL a lot but we all help each other :)

Trying to remember what everyone wrote in the old thread so sorry if I haven't replied back.
Jo.F sorry your bloods aren't right. How long have you been trying for now??
I get the call in the morning for the update of the eggs. Hoping to transfer on Saturday if things go well.
Welcome Poppy. I am also on my first cycle, probably a week ahead of you. Ask any questions you like.

Posted 03 May 2017 - 07:52 PM

Good Luck Mrs P! So happy you're on track!
Trying, I hope you get all your paperwork sorted with little to no problems!
Lexie, please keep us posted on your update! :)
Welcome poppy! Hope your stay here is short..

AFM, still relaxing, only transferred yesterday..

Welcome Poppy! Don't be scared, it's such a nice group here and everyone is always very happy to help with any questions you may have. As Trying said, taking it one step at a time does help with the overwhelming nature of it all xx

Lexie - fingers crossed for your next update, hope they are all progressing nicely!

Bceleste - another day down buddy!!! Thumbs up!!

Hi all! I'm new here - have been in the Clomid & OI group for 6 months, but after 18 months of TTC (with a MC thrown in) and at 38 it's well and truly time to give IVF a go. I'm with genea.

I'm starting antagonistic cycle whenever AF shows up, so sometime in the next week (hopefully - in spite of the Letrozole the PCOS is still creating crazy cycles!).

I'm sure I'll have a lot of questions so you'll be sick of me soon ;)

#11 poppy_seed

Posted 03 May 2017 - 10:02 PM

Thanks ladies. I've got my first blood test since starting the gonal f injections in the morning, so guess I'll hear how things are coming along then. Hi Blue Wren - I'm with Genea too.

Things sound on track Lexie, hope the good news continues. 😊

How frustrating for you JoF, sending good vibes your way.

MrsP, so great to hear BT was positive so bring on Monday! Are you still thinking about time off for the transfer? I've opted for no anaesthetic for this cycle if I can get there, it seems that's the most common?? My nurse told me it's about as bad as a PAP test, is that other's experience too?

Hi poppy, there are a few first timers here too so you're not alone, and the group is so so lovely. ❀❀

Welcome to Blue_wren too. ❀❀

My BT and scan went well today. ☺️ 5 follies on the right (6 before so was one hiding?) and now 10 on my left - apparently that's where all my hormones like to hang out. I've got 3 leading follicles with good size. One 15, another 17. Scan and BT again on Friday. I have a cocktail wedding to attend Friday evening and need to take my Gonal pen along and sneak off for my shot. Now the tough decision, which clutch do I have that will conceal/fit my drugs!? πŸ˜‚

Yay for FET on monday Mrs P!

Welcome poppy and Blue wren! There's a few of us on our first cycle so we're all learning together.

Your follies are looking good perfumista, when do they expect to do pick up?

FX for a transfer on saturday Lexie

How's the super thing going Trying?

AFM still going looking like a pin cushion, BT and scan on friday so should know then if pick up is monday, I hope so i'm starting to feel pretty uncomfortable around the waist band

Welcome poppy_seed and blue_wren! It's nice to see another familiar name from the clomid thread blue_wren, but I've very sorry you're still on your TTC journey.

Any news this morning Lexie? Keeping everything crossed for you!

Sounds like it's all tracking along beautifully perfumista! Haha, good luck finding a clutch! I had to sneak off and do my trigger at work the other night - so awkward!

There's no problem with me having a day off (plenty of sick leave), I guess I was more thinking of whether it's safe to go to work. I'm meant to start at 11.00 on Monday, so if we have an early FET I can probably make the shift. I just don't know whether I should.

#15 Chinoiserie82

Posted 04 May 2017 - 01:54 PM

Welcome blue_wren!

Perfumista - I think you have discovered an amazing niche market - classy clutches with hidden needle compartments for the IVF Socialite on the Go ;)

MrsP - Maybe it is worth taking the day off (particularly if you have sick leave available to you). At my clinic's information session they talked at length about what people do post transfer, some head back to work immediately afterwards, and some take the day off and lie on the sofa with their legs in the air (they said this with a bit of laughter but lying on the couch all day doesn't sound too bad actually ;) ). It is however a fairly monumental day for you emotionally and it might be nice to treat yourself to something low-key and relaxing that isn't work (if you want to of course) But health wise, you would be absolutely fine to go back to work if you wanted to.

#16 Lexie28

Posted 04 May 2017 - 01:58 PM

Hey Mrs P. Good luck for Monday!! I'd take the day off for sure just to relax.
Thanks everyone! Got the call today saying all 6 still looking good for transfer on Saturday!
I was out to lunch with a friend and she burst into tears. Was so nice to know people are on the journey with you.

#17 Chinoiserie82

Posted 04 May 2017 - 02:05 PM

That's SO good Lexie!!! And your friend sounds lovely and supportive xx

MissTR - If you are up for it, I drank dandelion tea after I had my EPU and it helped a little with bloating, etc. (as did lots of water). The tea might be good to have on hand for your recovery? It doesn't taste the greatest, but it is worth a try! I'm not a huge fan of Gatorade/sports drinks so this was a good alternative.

#18 bceleste

This month seems like such a productive one so far! I really hope this month does great things for all of us! :)

AFM - 2dp transfer.. I'm not sure if it's 5dt or 6dt?? Haha but 2dp either way.. trying to do as little as possible and not stress, my 89yo grandma is in hospital atm having a pacemaker put in, I'm lucky my mum is trying to do everything herself so I don't have to stress..

#19 Lexie28

Posted 04 May 2017 - 04:25 PM

Thanks Chinoiserie! Bceleste that's so exciting!! Not the stress about your grandmother obviously. I'm sure she will be fine and feel 10 years younger!
This is our month!! I do pregnancy massage so I'm hoping soon it will be my turn :)

Thanks Lexie, your news is awesome too!! FX Saturday goes well for you! I hope this is our month!! :)

Hi all... sorry I've been AWOL, just taking a break. It's all getting to me a bit too much so had to step back. I've been popping in to follow all your progress though.

Super exciting Bceleste! I'm full pretzel for big fat positive for you.

Mrs P- I'll be holding my breath for a successful FET for you. It's about time those lines swing your way.

Perfumista- are you having no an aesthetic for egg pick up or transfer? When I had my only (failed) transfer, I didn't feel a thing. The egg pick up on the other hand (as most people in here know about already) was completely traumatic with no anaestehtic.

Lexie- aaaahhhhhhmaaaazing news! Positive vibes being sent your way for stable numbers on Monday. Can I ask... what is pregnancy massage?

Welcome newbies to the assisted thread. πŸ™‚

Such exciting news for you Lexie28!! How nice to have a lovely friend to share your ups and downs with on this journey. I have a beautiful SIL, my DH's twin and she has be texting me to check in which has been so kind. Apart from my mum and sister though I haven't shared with anyone else.

Hope you BT/scan is all on track for you tomorrow MissTR and that you can have you EPU soon. Feeling a bit tender today too but hopefully for you that's all because things are going great inside. 😊

Thanks for the laughs MrsP #awkwardstabs

Chinoiserie, you are hilarious! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ You need to copyright that marketing line!
Might need to try the dandelion tea too as normally I have bloating anyway with adenomyosis but now with ramped up hormones, I eat the tiniest thing and I feel like bursting. πŸ˜”

Bceleste, so so positive! ❀️❀️

Fordy, hope you're traveling along ok this week. 😊

Thanks for the advice Birdie11. Sorry I wasn't really clear in my earlier post, I will be under for EPU but awake for transfer. Wow - you've been though so much, I can't even imagine. FX and hopeful for your next steps. ❀️❀️

No EPU date for me yet so hoping tomorrow's scan will answer that question.

Awe Birdie I've been thinking of you xo I hope your going OK

JoF - Have you found us yet   it usually takes me a week to figure out a new page has been created hahaha. I hope everything on track

Perfumista - Phew I was with Birdie, I thought you were going to go without anything for the EPU...I kept meaning to come on and say I would recommend having something as I have not heard good things at al if you do that but for the transfer you don't honestly feel a thing. FX everything is going to plan

bceleste - Goodness, I love how you are not meant to have any stress but things always seem to happen when they say that :) but you sound like you have it all sorted. I hope your grandma is OK. Big hugs to you all xo

MrsP - take the day off :) you will honestly feel better for it an if you have sick leave go for it...my fingers are crossed for you :)

Blue Wren - Welcome and I hope your stay is only short

Miss TR - I hope everything is tracking along well. Body is crossed for you

AFM - well I decided to post on another wall to see if anyone else had accessed there super...boy did that open up a can of worms...good news is I learnt that crying is OK...never never never going to ask if anyone has gone through that again.  :omg: I think I have my stuff sorted but all doctors appointments are next Wednesday so I will keep you all posted.  We will also find out if FS thinks we will be OK for another collection...after all this he may just say thanks for coming, your too old, your eggs are shot its not going to happen, seeya later...but I'm trying not to think of that though...I'm trying to be positive :)

Hope everyone is going well and I am so sorry if I missed anyone...Good luck to you all xoxo

Lexie - good luck for tomorrow (not that you will need it)! Hope it all goes well and you have lots of little frozen guys to store. As bceleste said, May is going to be a great month!

MissTR - hope your scan and blood test went well xx

Birdie - you are so brave to have done an EPU without the general??

Perfumista - good luck with your scan today!! Fingers crossed and then contorted to be double crossed for you. Wouldn't it be nice if we could make some money off the whole IVF patient racket... I ponder that every time we park our beat up Hyundai next to my specialists' shiny new Beamer ;) (just jokes... I think it is a Mercedes). Definitely try the tea - as I said, it isn't the best taste in the world but it does do something! Also, around EPU is a great excuse for elastic waists, embrace the comfort!

Trying - all the hugs matey xx

AFM, today is 4dp5dt - nothing really going on except tiredness but sleeping is my flight-or-fight response to nerves ;) I have napped more this week than I have in the past year. (I think my 2WW friend bceleste can totally relate!).

Happy Friday lovelies xx

Hope your grandma is doing well bceleste, so much for no stress right?

How did the scan go today Perfumista? Sounds like you're almost ready for pickup.

FX for tomorrow Lexie, hope the transfer goes well and it's a sticky one.

I saw your other thread Trying... Big hugs for you my dear, it sounds like you've got things underway now with appointments and so on, I hope it all works out.

Had my BT and scan this morning, just waiting on a call from the clinic to confirm what next. There were 4 each side but only 1 looking any good at 12mm, the rest all under 8mm, guess I'll just have to keep jabbing a wee bit longer and hope the little ones catch up
