@BettyBowers: Apparently, Donald Trump is devoting his life to getting this one, simple question answered. https://t.co/eibsTPMPJA

Have to join in on this discussion.
I can't look away.

Let's hope we can impeach a president for gross incompetence.

Mrs. Betty Bowers has been keeping the pressure on since the election.
Some of her tweets are brutal.

Woo hoo!

Amazon is going to give legal support to fighting the muslim ban.  Now I can keep on lovingly buying my Kindle books :)

Tea Pain@TeaPainUSA

More Muslims have been killed by Trump supporters in the past 24 hours than Americans killed by refugees from banned countries in 30 years.

If this is a fake account, I apologise - but if not - the leader of the free world apparently woke up, and decided to tweet this. Soooooo - presidential. So statesman-like.

@realDonaldTrump: Nancy Pelosi and Fake Tears Chuck Schumer held a rally  at the steps of The Supreme Court and mic did not work (a mess)-just like Dem party!

This is awesome.

The power these (many tax avoiding) multinationals have makes me uneasy though. They lobby, donate and put their money in which ever basket ultimately suits them. The people and the state shouldn't need the support of multinationals and vested interests to uphold the rule of law.

Posting so I can find this thread again. I'm just so gob smacked at what is going on in the US. My friend is pretty worried about her family and what's going on over there as well.

This is a dummies question: who actually votes in US elections? Are there particular groups that vote more so than others e.g. Southerners, Hispanics, working class, Californians? And: is there any sort of check and balance procedure for executive orders?

I agree but the fact that Amazon, Nike, Starbucks, Apple are putting their lot with "The Resistance" is an indicator of where they sense the popular opinion is going to go in the next 4 years.

So in their own self serving way they give us some encouragement.

Yep, that's business!  Still, any show of resistance is better than the silence from other parts!
