First timer question, do they count far along you are from the first day of last period or from actual conception?

From the first day of your period. It's frustrating, as I don't ovulate regularly, and my cycles are all over the place. So even though I know where I should be, they always write that my lmp date as much further along than I actually am. Even after 3 dating scans. So I have learned to lie, and give them a fake number that matches up with my scans lol

I had ovulation tracking... so I know when I ovulated. But bubs is measuring a few days behind that, but that has been the same since the first scan when I was measuring 5w6d but should have been 6w3d (but they said they won't adjust the dates until the 12 week scan.) Friday just gone, in theory I was 8w, but measuring 7w3d or 4d depending on which measurement you believe hehehe. It's possibly I was actually 7w6d on Friday though, as they gave me a window of a few hours for ovulation, and it would be on the cusp of 2 days.

From LMP I am due Oct 6. From measurements I am due Oct 11th. I ovulate around day 15/16 of a 28 day cycle. I suspect from ovulation I am due Oct 8th lol.

I choosing to believe it's just going to be little. Which means smaller to push out, right? ;)

Lol if only it were true FRWC (smaller to push out!) I would go by your dating scan dates, apart from my loss my two children were both born on the due date given by the dating scan ;) so it's goodluck for me! Even though you know when you ovulated a sperm may not have hit it until 24 hours after plus you don't know how long it took to implant, so that in itself can vary it a few days. I thought I ovulated later but then I got a very strong bfp early so can't wait for my dating scan to clear that up :)

It is usually the first day of your last period but as PJVG said we don't all have perfect 28 day cycles. I have a 29-30 day cycle but don't ovulate until at least CD16(sometimes later), my GP was good about listening to me and actually took my word that I knew when I ovulated.
I was proven right at my scan, according to my LMP I should've been 7+4 but I told the sonogropher I was only 7 weeks ... turned out I was exactly 7 weeks to the day!

I had my 2nd scan today. Measuring as expected, FHR 150 bpm, HCG from last week 56,600 & progesterone 98. :)

I'm booking in for a Harmony Test in 2 weeks.

It was a great appointment, the only downside was a discussion about the high likelihood of having to deliver via C-section...around 37weeks putting me into a September AFL finals time delivery, but if it goes that way so be it & if we can go natural, yay!

We had our dating scan a few weeks ago and my due date moved from 20th to the 22nd which we had guessed as it was our wedding night and the first time we had attempted to fall pregnant :) the bpm were 140 and I was 6w2days so nice and strong.

We are also getting the harmony test just for peace of mind and can't wait to find out the sex of the baby!!

p.s has anyone enquired about the 12 week scan, they now charge $230 for this instead of being bulk billed everywhere. I was able to track down a MIA clinic who bulk bill thank god, As the harmony test is so expensive its nice to save some money somewhere lol
