I had my bloods taken on Friday for my NIPT test. I'm now not-so-patiently waiting for the results to come in. I was told I should get them today or tomorrow.
I really hate the waiting game and just want to know now!

Did you get your results, BlackButterfly?
I had bloods for PAPP-A yesterday, two more weeks until the scan and blood results all get put together to see if there is a likely need for more tests. My GP said not to worry about the NIPT test just yet as the 10-12 week bloods and my u/s will be enough to go on to start with - apparently where I'm going for the scan is super good and should be able to ascertain if more tests are needed or if everything looks fine. Ah, the waiting!

I did get the results last Thursday. Unfortunately they were not good. It came back positive for Turner Syndrome.
I've seen an Ob (mine was away) and spoke to a genetic councillor. I've just got back from my GP and had more blood taken.
If the baby has Turners there is 99 per cent chance I will miscarry. The issue is there is a stronger chance that it is me that has Turners. This would make me a very high risk pregnancy as about 2 per cent of Turners women die during pregnancy or childbirth due to heart issues.
I'm now booked in for a cardiac echo tomorrow morning to see if I can proceed with the pregnancy.
I am having my 12 weeks scan on Friday which will hopefully confirm whether or not the baby has Turners (which in some cases can be passed down).
Hopefully by next week after all the scans and test results come back I will have a better picture of what is going on, but until then, it's been a really scary, ditressing time.

I'm sorry to hear this also. I came up as very high risk (1/7) for Downs with my last pregnancy, and it was such a stressful time waiting for the results. Luckily I was all clear after a CVS. Hopefully this is a false positive for you also. Keep us updated as you have the scan.

I'm so sorry blackburterfly. Hopefully further tests will be more positive. DD had a high risk of Downs Syndrome at nt test but amnio showed that she was negative. So try to stay positive. I know it is easier said than done. I had my nipt on Monday so I'm playing the waiting game

So I had my scan today and everything looks normal! My husband and I both cried we were so happy!
It now turns out I have 50 / 50 mosaic Turner Syndrome, even though I don't have most of the associated symptoms.
Apparently it's now happening that women are having the NIPT done and getting a positive result for a few different genetic abnomalities and finding out it's them not the baby that has the issue.
I'm really happy I had the NIPT done because even though it was a really tough week waiting for the worst, and then finding out my baby should be fine, the good news is I now know about my own condition and can monitor it.

That's good news black butterfly. I'm really glad the scan is ok for bub and also that you know have more info to manage your condition. It must have been a really stressful wait for you.

I had my blood yesterday. I've been told 5 working days. Fingers crossed as we go away for a week on Friday and I'd like to know before then. We have to decide if we find out sex. DH has decided he wants to wait until birth. Im not sure....

Fingers crossed for everyone about to get their results. I hope it's good news all round!
I got some further results and saw a Genetic Clinician and now there is only a 1 in 10,000 chance my baby has Turner Syndrome. And the form of Turners I have looks like I'll have no issues with the pregnancy or childbirth. So if any of you do get results you weren't expecting, don't lose hope. I was shattered to begin with when I got my results, and now everything looks totally ok.
