Little Bug I'm sorry for your earlier loss, I wasn't part of the fb group back then so I didn't hear your story. It must be a little bitter sweet having your due date approach but big congratulations on this pregnancy!
Akadia...congratulations! I hope his latch had improved and you're either home now or close to it! TA why on earth wouldn't she let you see the screen? How bizarre. Perpetual sound, enjoy your bed tonight! How does the house look? I hope it was worth the wait. We are closer to getting ready for Bubs. We turned Oli's room upside down on the weekend, got rid of the cot and got him into his big bed. Tonight is the second night he's been in it but so far so good. He was very attached to his cot and didn't want to move into the big bed but with his third birthday next week we thought it was time. Plus we needed the extra space in his room for storing his toys to make room in the loungeroom for baby things! The baby's bassinet has been located and sheets washed. She has a chest of drawers now so I can put away her clothes. We are slowly getting ready. #27Posted 25 August 2014 - 08:35 PM
She claimed there was not much to see at this stage. Baby is too big so it's just her head or just a leg etc. I'm still disappointed though as even if it was just a leg etc, it's my babies leg and it's interesting to me.
Going to ask the dr on Wednesday if I can see any of the pics. Well done on getting Oli's room done. We thought about moving DS3 to a big bed to free up the cot for sprout but have decided to leave it for now as sprout will be in my room for at least the first 6 months. I hope Oli continues sleeping well in his new bed for you. #28Posted 27 August 2014 - 12:32 PM
So exciting that there are babies arriving
![]() I almost want to rejoin FB so I can keep up with them all! Twilight that is so odd that they wouldn't let you see the screen, sounds a little mean. Hopefully the doctor will share the pics with you. Zebidee it's nice getting all the little clothes away isn't it, I keep opening up the drawers to smell their lux flakey goodness. AFM have had the final OB appointment, six sleeps to go, eek #29Posted 28 August 2014 - 03:01 PM
Twilight - not sure why they wouldn't show you the screen! Sounds a bit mean to me.
![]() Gracie - very exciting. 6 more days in nothing. Seems like we've all been UTD for 2 years hey? Littlebug - great to hear your happy news. Often you hear the bad stuff so thank you so much for coming back to share to happy stuff too! Wishing you all the best ![]() AFM - a few of the school mums had a dinner for me last night. Very lovely of them but I couldn't resist creamy pasta and paid the price all night. Oh the pain ![]() Hope everyone is hanging in there. #31Posted 31 August 2014 - 01:09 PM
Hi girls. I am on the Facebook group. Find it tricky to keep up with more than one place.
![]() I have had severe heartburn and vomiting the whole pregnancy but the last two days it has been good. I was even able to sleep on one pillow last night!!! Hoping that means bubs has dropped might just be medication doing it's job though ☺️ Hope everyone is well xxx #33Posted 01 September 2014 - 05:59 AM

Very exciting about the FB group having more babies born. Anna and Iliketoflounce - I'm so sorry to hear that you've both been really sick the entire time ![]() #34Posted 01 September 2014 - 07:39 AM
Sorry! I just reread my post it sounded whingey it's ok it's just part of it, I'm just really excited that it has settled!!! It hasn't been all bad. I have managed to stay out of hospital and it has helped me keep my weight down. Liketoflounce it sounds like you Have had a really rough pregnancy. Nearly at the end!!!
I have an extra appointment today as Thursdays appointment revealed I had mild preeclampsia, I am feeling really positive about today and everything being fine again. So excited for this month!!!!!!!! #35Posted 01 September 2014 - 09:06 AM
Anna it didn't sound whingy. I lost a total of 10kg and have only just managed to put it back on plus an extra 2kg. Oh no to mild PE hope it doesn't get worse for you.I am still shared care with my GP
Fairey I am having better days haven't need hospital for 11 weeks now but I still need Zofron. How are you going you are due very soon So far on FB there are 9 boys 8 girls and on EB 1 boy hoping to hear from others having their bubs #36Posted 01 September 2014 - 12:24 PM
Afternoon ladies!
Here we are, still chugging along. As has been said, lots of action over on the FB group - All the newborn pictures are making me excited and have actually started getting me into gear in preparing. The bathroom is almost done and looks amazing. Now that we have a seperate bath and shower, I can get my fitball into the shower to be able to use. I find it great because my feet hurt to stand on the tiles now with all the extra pressure. I'm also booked in for 1.5hr massage on Friday (37 weeks) for full body massage with accupressure and reflexology. I cant wait. I bought some evening primrose oil capsules this morning which I am told help to ripen the cervix, and I'm drinking about 6 cups of raspberry leaf tea a day. My aim this time isnt to induce labour (although if it happens thats awesome), but to just ripen my cervix in the hope for a much shorter 1st stage labour (was 28hrs last time). Today I'm finishing off making Henry's present 'from the baby'. Thank goodness for daycare days. I hope everyone is feeling as well as can be expected at this late pointy end.... and.... HAPPY SEPTEMBER EVERYONE!! #37Posted 05 September 2014 - 04:00 PM
Baby Calliope joined our family at 12.33am today.
She is absolutely perfect. Weighed 6lb 2oz (2790g) and is 51cm long. Feeding really well which is wonderful. Her arrival came as a surprise as the doctors thought my induction had failed and sent me to bed with heaps of pain meds and sleeping tablets and said we would try again after a 12 hour break. Callie didn't agree and after getting back to my room and hoping in the shower for pain relief I was examined again and the doctor was shocked to discover I'd gone from 0 to 5cm dilated. By the time I reached birth suites and attached to monitors I was pushing. Callie went into distress due to how quick the labour was (33 minutes from when they discovered I was 5cm) but recovered quickly once born. I can't get over how small she is compared to my others. Even premmie 00000 clothes are big on her. The older kids are all very happy with their little sister and can't wait until she is home. Hope everyone else is well and enjoying there last few days or their little babies ![]() #43Posted 05 September 2014 - 07:13 PM
Twilight angel! congratulations on your beautiful girl with a beautiful name. Well done on an awesome labour and delivery.

![]() My little boy arrived on Tuesday. 3.9 kg and we're doing really well, DP and I are utterly smitten. Elective c section went great I loved the anaesthetist she was amazing and her gorgeous calm manner was so helpful. I hope you're going well. Gracie #47Posted 07 September 2014 - 01:45 PM
Hi all 😊
Congratulations to those with bubs already!! Very exciting!! Grace Lily was born Tuesday 2nd at 11:02pm. 7pd9oz and 49.5cm. I was supposed to deliver in the city. Despite us telling the "doctor" that we wouldn't make it, he told us we had to drive again. Grace was born on the side of the highway, delivered by my husband... We are settling into being a family if 4 but DH and I will be putting in formal complaints to the hospital. (Grace is fabulously awesome and we are super in love with her 💗) Edited by Fairey, 07 September 2014 - 01:47 PM. #48Posted 07 September 2014 - 04:56 PM
Oh wow Fairy!!! A huge congrats to you! That is quite a birth story! Well done you for enduring what must have been quite a stressful experience - and well done DH for keeping it cool enough to catch bub!
Great to hear Grace is doing so well ![]() ![]() Reply to this topic![]() 0 user(s) are reading this topic0 members, 0 guests, 0 anonymous users |
