Hi, I would like to join in here too. Starting my second attempt of a FET after a miscarriage 5 weeks ago from a previous transfer. Day 2 here. I have two boys, one 4 and 1, the second who was my IVF miracle from our first cycle. Feeling excited and apprehensive about trying again.

Hi Swan77, happy to see another mum doing a FET. Hope this FET works for both of us.

Hi there

I'm halfway through the TWW doing our first FET trying for number 2. My blood test is on Mon 19th, which is also my 36th birthday!!  As it says in my sig, it took us 1 x IUI & 6 IVF/ICSI/FET cycles to conceive our DS so I'm hoping desperately that we don't have to go through as much this time around

I'm not on any progesterone support his time as we did a low dose stim and my BT is 17DPO so I'm expecting that AF will arrive before the BT if we've been unsuccessful. But if it hasn't....  Either way I'm not really looking forward to my birthday. I'm not feeling particularly positive - I'm just so used to hearing " I'm sorry. I don't have good news". Oh well, hopefully this time, like the last time, will be good news!!

Best of luck to everyone else in here.

Hi ladies, I'm joining in...we saw our RE today and are starting IVF next cycle.
I'm so nervous, but hopeful.

I'm on CD9, so a few weeks before we start the protocol. The thought of the injections is freaking me out.

Hi everyone. Hope you don't mind me jumping in here....I am mum to 2 ivf kiddies & about to start a HRT FET cycle for hopefully, my 3rd. Just waiting on AF to start! I haven't read through yet sorry but has anyone done a HRT FET before? I've done a few natural ones in the past but my FS recommended HRT this time....not really sure why as my last natural cycle FET resulted in my son. Here's hoping anyway!

Success with FET after successful fresh IVF?

Hi all

I'm currently waiting for Day 1 to start my first FET cycle

Our DS was born from a fresh transfer from this same IVF cycle.

I had 7 follicles, 6 eggs, 6 grade A embryos, 5 frozen at 2-days

Some people have told me if your fresh transfer worked, your FETs probably won't

Others have said, well, your first one worked, so you've got a good chance with the rest

Just don't know whether to quietly hope or go through the (expensive) motions of using up all the frosties so we can move to a fresh IVF round

Why try FET if it's unlikely to work?

Hi. Is anyone still in this group? Looking for other moms attempting for another baby :)

Pinki I am attempting for no 2. I started posting in rsg before I realised I wasn't meant to. The girls have been pretty accepting of me posting there. I don't really talk about ds though.

Waited- I have just been posting there too and yes so far so good. I do hope to continue with them as it seems there is lots of activity. I do remember when I did my first cycle there was a few girls that already had bubs IVF or otherwise and I did find it helpful. Gave me hope that it can work! I was really lucky and ended up with B/G twins from my first FET. I will try and be respectful and not bring it up unless asked and hope that it does give them some encouragement.

Where are you at with TTC # 2? Did you do AC for the first?

Hi Pinki, I am glad to have someone to chat too. Ds Wad natural just before we were due to start ac. It took about a year and a half for us to conceive him. We are heading towards a yeah and half again. Hoping it will come together again.

How old are your little ones now? How did you core with twins? I hope this is a sorry stay for you.

Yeah I'm hoping for another miracle! My twins are 2 and a half and a handful ( or 2). We tried for over 3 yrs and saw 3 different RE in 3 different countries so it took a lot of planning and luck to get us where we are now..

I'm really thankful and blessed but in my heart I don't feel complete. I long for another baby and it's so hard to know that this is the only way.

We have MFI and were told that we had almost no chance of natural so we went strait to IVF. We were lucky and hope that we will be again but I'm 39 in a few days so this is it for us I think. If we don't try I think I will regret it so going to give it another go.

Having 2 is a challenge but they get along well and is easier now that they are older. Don't know how I will cope with 3 but I love a challenge :)

That's wonderful that you guys were able to conceive before AC.

Fingers crossed it will happen again for you!
Have you been seeing a RE and do you have a time frame or game plan in place yet?

Hi Pinki and Waited,

I have just started my IVF cycle for our second baby. My DD is 8 months old.

We had a false start in April with a cancelled cycle, then my body recruited a follicle before I could start in May.

So, had my first injections tonight. Hoping we are lucky first attempt this time round

Posted 08 June 2015 - 04:57 PM

Lea- oh I do hope this is a short stay for you! I am amazed that your back at it with DD only 8 months! My hats off to you! I really wish I had started sooner. I'll be 39 tomorrow and worried I won't be so lucky this time due to my age.
If you don't mind me asking did you do IVF for DD?
Wondering if the 2nd time around is easier.
I met with my RE today and he suggested just to skip a fresh transfer and go right to FET as I got lucky with that last time. Nervous about that and not sure how I will feel not getting to do a fresh cycle.

Yes, we did do IVF for our DD.

The only reason why we are trying again so soon is that I am 39 next month, and don't want to leave it too long

#65 pinki

Ah yes that makes sense. What is it about 39. I know lots of women have babies much older but for me I really felt I needed to act soon or I may not get another chance. We are possibly relocating again overseas and i don't want to have to start over at a new clinic.

How are the injections going? Did you feel more relaxed this go or is it the same?
I'm anxious to start but also nervous as this may be our last shot.

In some ways I feel more relaxed because we have our DD, but there is still the same anxiousness is there.

Hi Lea & Pinki - sorry for being MIA!  Well I am almost 40 (end of the year) and I feel like it is slipping away pretty quickly to be honest.  We started May last year so my 39th has passed pretty quickly and now facing down the 40 barrel.

I also feel pretty lucky to have DS but I really do want another and it is breaking my heart a little to be honest!  I have to say I pretty anxious and nervous that it won't actually happen.  I know that it possibly will - but what if it doesn't?

We are out this time, so our next chance will probably be July.  I still have HCG from last month (positive but HCG never rose well enough for it to be viable) and might need a D & C on Friday or Monday.  We are off on Holidays next Friday and just don't want any issues while overseas.

Pinki - when will your FET be?  What type of cycle - medicated or unmedicated?

Lea - how are your injections going?  I hope it is all travelling along as expected!

Sorry about your loss waited. thats hard when you are so close. Do you have any frozen left? Was this last go from a fresh cycle?

A holiday sounds in order and I would plan on drinking some wine and having lots of soft cheese and the likes!

I know the feeling about being blessed but yes it's still gutting. I turned 39 yesterday and just don't feel that our family is complete just yet..

I'm set to do my 2nd cycle mid June and praying this round works as it looks like we are moving countries again and I know we won't have time to move and find a new RE. We were so successful here that I don't even think we would try again anywhere else. Or could afford to.

My RE wants to do a cycle and freeze everything. Our fresh didn't take with 2 grade A ones but my FET did with my last 2 frozen. So I'm really torn as what to do. The kicker is I have to decide before EPU as the trigger meds are different. I just don't know.

Guess it's all part of the game though...

Hoping to join. I am a graduate of Ready Set Girls back in 2012 and I have a 2.5yr old daughter. I was debating whether to join RSG or look for a parents buddy group (sometimes not as much activity), but decided to try this one first.

TTC # 1 since Feb 2008
2011: #1 - IVF/ICSI - BFP - MC 11wks
2011: #2 - FET - BFP - MC 6wks
2011: #3 - FET - BFN
2012: #4 - IVF/PICSI - BFN
2012: #5 - FET - BFP - DD born Jan 2013

TTC # 2 since Sep 2013
2015: #1 - IVF July

Bear with me while I ramble....

It is so strange because I now have the same intense feelings of disappointment when coming to the realisation that we would have to go down the IVF path, as I did when TTC #1. I guess I was kind of hoping that because we had such a hard time of it the first time that it was our turn for a miracle and perhap we could avoid IVF. But nope, here we are again.

So while I feel disappointed at having to turn to IVF, I do feel like the stakes are not quite as high IYKWIM. I have a daughter. I am a mother. This takes a little bit of the pressure off, if IVF doesn't work for # 2. (This is for me - I know this isn't the case for everyone).

I also am a little confused because sometimes I tell myself that my life is full enough and too busy to go through IVF and newborn stage again - I question whether I really want this. Why introduce more stress. I am happy being a mother of 1.... maybe..... But I wonder if I am just trying to protect myself in a way. Convince myself that I don't really, really, really want this. That way I will be less disappointed if it doesn't work??

My thoughts kind of just go around and around in circles, and we have been delaying seeing our Fertility Specialist and DH and I decided to just bite the bullet and jump on the rollercoaster before I over-analyse myself to death.

So, my period started today & injections start tomorrow. And in a little way I do feel excited that we are taking control. I don't want to get to 50 and wish I had tried IVF for # 2.

Sorry for the ramble

OMG Cordy! I soo needed this post tonight! I'm sorry you are here. I'm a firm believer that if you have done IVF you deserve that natural miracle baby after. But that being said I'm glad that I have someone else here who is in the same boat as me. I could have written the exact same post you just did.

It's crazy as I saw you responded to a post I did the other day and remembered the profile picture. I even looked you up on EB and thought you probably had moved on to more kids or were content with the just one. I wasn't sure.. You see I was also in the RSGG at the same time and had my BFP the same month as you. I have lovely boy/ girl twins that are 2.5 yrs old born Jan 2013.

And here I am again.. Exhausted but loving every minute of being a mom to my very active toddlers but yet still wanting another. I have been TTC with no luck and am also geared up to start round 2.

It's such a bummer as I was to start on Monday. AF came today also. We could have been cycle buddies again! Ugh but as luck would have it my RE is away at a conference and I would be going to a different RE so I took it as a sign. And then I though what the heck I can do this but DH will be away for all the stimming and maybe EPU ( FX I get that far) so I've been having a pity party all day. I took it as a sign that I should be happy for what I have and not be greedy and move on. I turned 39 this month so it really hits home.. I too don't want to look back and wonder what would have happened if I tried once more.

So you posting here tonight has really lifted my spirits! Call me crazy but I'm taking it as a sign not to give up so easily! But I'm still going to finish my glass of wine tonight have my little pitty party:p
