I feel like a dork going to the trouble of asking about a bread knife but I've just had my second disappointing purchase. How hard can it be to cut bread?!
Do you have a good bread knife? What brand is it?

Global, pricey but worth every penny.

Check out peters of Kensington they're having a sale

I also recommend they're chefs knives ( we have a 24cm, 13cm & a paring knife)

I found cheap ones suck!
Go to a decent cookware shop or knife shop and spend at least $30 on one. the one I bought recently was around that price and it's a Baccarat Cuisine Pro brand.
It;s nicely heavy, well balanced and cuts really well.

Ours is Global brand. It came in a set with a block as a wedding gift.  It's the best knife, like slicing through butter.
I'm sure you can buy them separately, try Myer.

The best bread knife, or any knife I have ever had is a 'Forever Sharp' knife I got during a demonstration in a Woolworths store. Here is a link to what they look like on ebay here.

Our knives are all Furi. They are expensive, but worth every penny. Ours have belonged to DH for 12 years & still going strong.
