Tonight dd woke up complaining of a sore bottom, so I had a look and found a couple of tiny worms. She went back to sleep a minute later, so I will just go and get the worming treatment for her tomorrow morning, however I am a bit worried as I am currently 6 weeks pregnant ... and from my frenzied googling it seems that some specific worming tablets are ok in pregnancy ...... but most stipulate NOT to take them during the first trimester?

I don't have any symptoms myself, but am also now worried if having worms can affect the baby if I were unable to treat them?

Anyone who has been in a similar situation, your experiences would be greatly appreciated!

You should ask the chemist when you go, but there is one worming tablet I was able to take. The pharmacist checked all of the packets out and found one without a specific ingredient that is an issue in pregnancy. It was the one that you have 1 chocolate square per person, not the one determined by weight. I was further along than you though, so you may not be in the safe period yet. so definitely ask before you take some.

yeah safest bet is to ask a professional, i was told not to take any but i think i was also further along. not sure worms would have any effect on baby though?

You can all so use vasalline around the anus. This  breaks the.cycle by stopping the.worms being able to come out and lay their eggs. Do this for about 4 nights. It is good for kids too.
Congratulations on your pregnancy.
