Not in NSW. Isn't Queensland having some kind of catch up Australia Day?

I'm not sure if they are making the second Australia day in QLD a public holiday?? Good question. Actually, I should ring up my real estate agent tomorrow to double check as I have an inspection monday.

It's a catch up Australia Day because apparently the floods/storm ruined the Australia Day public holiday... Not sure what this actually entails though!

Eta may be Qld only?

I didn't think it was another public holiday for Australia Day, more just an informal 'hey let's all have the barbecues we couldn't have on the day' kind of thing.

Not a formal holiday at all - staff are to be paid normal Saturday rates.

Just as a PP said - informal lets have a catch-up BBQ.

Mind you, the weather is going to be just as horrible in the SE anyway thanks to the low pressure system off the coast.
