This should be fun! I've already had plenty of ideas, if only I can get them to work this week.
Down side since reading your challenge topic last night is that I've had "All You Need Is Love, da da da da da" in my head allllll day!
Posted 12 February 2013 - 09:59 PM
Early one for me, not particularly happy with it but probably wont get a chance to take another

I think it's great Ali! Well done.
I have no inspiration this week at all. Sigh. Will keep thinking and thinking and then think again

Congrats on your win Teri. I tried to think outside the box however it looks really tacky, so I'll jump back in the box and try and come up with something else.

Well, love is NOT being on a ridiculous diet. I am soooooooo grumpy this week that I would better fit a "divorce" theme!
Great entries so far.
And Peanut... that is so cruel. SO very, very cruel to post that chocolately goodness. I can taste it through the screen

Congratulations on your win Teri & Ali too for the vintage theme on Camera House Photo Friday. It is nice to see so many of you having success there!
I had quite a few ideas this week, trying to keep away from the cliche. Hope this meets your creative brief - I'll be awaiting my brownie Teri. Some of those in your photo will be nice! Think they will post well to SA?

Thanks Bec, you know I almost did that exact shot this week and even bought matches which i will play with tonight

Wow some fantastic entries.
Here is my entry for the week. I am afraid I didn't capture the beaches beauty. It looks 1000 times better in real life. So my love this week is Hymas beach. Every time I go there I feel like I am in paradise!

mummy26: I had to look at your photo a second time before I noticed the work love in the shoe laces ... I'm a bit slow sometimes! Great shot, very creative.
Peanut: OH MY GOD, I'm meant to be on a diet and was so pleased that I hadn't succumbed to temptation and had lost 11 kgs but then I went straight out after seeing your photo and found myself ordering a brownie with a coffee for DH because he should have one ... and then I proceeded to eat it! Your pic is quite literally mouth-watering!
rbat: I have tried this before but with pencils and it turned out terrible. Love this, you've made it look perfect.
silverwattle: That's my idea of heaven! What a gorgeous beach, if you didn't capture it as nice as it really is then it must be pretty spectacular because that's a great photo.
wink wink: Did you make that?? What a fabulous cake!
Mine is just a quick entry this week. Even with Valentine's Day I was feeling uninspired but while out doing a run I saw this plaque on a park bench and thought there is no greater love than one you can still feel in your heart after death. Luckily I do my runs and hikes with my camera in my backpack
Love ... even after death do us part.

Great photos everyone! I don't really like mine but thought I may as well enter it anyway
I'm good at regular background Bokeh but never tried with the cutout shape type. Didn't work like I was hoping and will have to experiment more to find out why, but here is my effort made with an old tissue box!
My DH couldnt see the word 'love' spelt out but I'm hoping you girls can!

Last minute entry - and a disappointing one to boot
I find that the week DH is away I barely have time to keep my house and kids under control let alone take a pic. So these are the cup cakes my boys and I made for ourselves on valentines day. They're the loves of my life along with their dad and we were all a little sad not to have him home with us this week.

Okay, thanks for taking part in the challenge ladies, its a pleasure as always to see the wonderful creativity and fun that goes into your images!
Mummy26, I’ve always loved the “laces” shot, it’s so simple but so effective! The contrast between the wooden floor and the red stripy shoes is just lovely too. I said it in FB but congrats on your win last week too!
Peanut, why oh why did you bake these and not stop at one….?
Rbat, love the DOF, the lighting and perspective, I’m glad you chose to go with this one rather than the other. I like the other one too but this one is far more interesting!! It would take me ages to get the matches correct though, I’d probably wobble too much trying to get them perfect!
Silverwattle, oh that beach looks heavenly, I can almost hear the squeaking of the sand under my feet! Beautiful colours between the sky and the sand too!
Winkwink, I hope N had a wonderful birthday and that cake is just AMAZING!! Good job Mum!
Kee-in-Hawaii, I always stop to read the plaques on benches etc because they are always beautiful sentiments of love! It looks like its been there awhile, I wonder if Jim and Patricia are reunited and watching the view together?
Blue4me, great effort and yes, I can see the word! I have never tried to create shaped bokeh either, it looks too fiddly for me!
Raven74, we are big fans of Timmy (and Shaun) in this house! I like the bokeh and the natural setting, beautifully done.
TopsyTurvey, what a creative shot, it took me a minute or so to realise that it was a book that you’d used to frame the sun. Well done!
LittleC, Ooh, so cute!! Nice perspective and mix of colours in the ducklings, great shot. I must remember to show my DD this photo in the morning, she’ll love it!
Bryden, don’t be disappointed because it’s a wonderful shot of some delicious looking cupcakes! Are those ladybugs chocolates and if yes, where did you get them? I have a friend whose DD loves ladybugs and they would make the perfect gift for her!
What lovely photos this week ladies, thanks for participating in the challenge. I loved all of the photos but I think the winner is something that we can all relate to, the things we do for those we love the most, our kids! Our winner this week is:
I just loved your cake and the bright colourful photo!
I think everyone deserves brownies after that effort, shame there aren't any left!

Congrats winkwink , and your comments on you own photo cracked me up Teri
Posted 18 February 2013 - 09:29 PM
Congratulations Wendy, loved your cake! N is certainly a lucky little boy having such a talented mum!
Posted 18 February 2013 - 10:35 PM
Congrats Wendy!! Thanks Teri, love your comment to yourself, hope you enjoyed them (I am on a ketogenic diet and you tempted me)
Posted 19 February 2013 - 12:18 AM
Oh wow how exciting, thank you Teri. It was very time consuming but so worth the effort to see the expression on his face.
I will be back in the morning to post the next theme.
