I use a Nutella frosting on plain vanilla cupcakes. The cupcakes are so easy to make and are a suitable base for so many flavours that I just keep a batch in the freezer.
I whip up equal amounts of pure cream and Nutella to make the frosting. It is delicious.
I have used the frosting on hazelnut cupcakes as well to boost the nuttiness. For grown ups, I would add some frangelico to the frosting.
