Kai Samual?

Hello!

Wdyt all think of Kai Samuel for a boy?
Our surname is one syllable & starts with 'S'..

Samuel is the traditional spelling, which I prefer.

Was a typing mistake & yes I would be spelling it the traditional way!

I don't mind it but I would spell as Kai Samuel.

Immediately reminds me of the island in Thailand - Koh Samui.

It makes me think of Naomi Watts and Liev Schreiber's son, Samuel Kai, who I think they call Kai?

I'm not really a fan of Kai, but I love Samuel. Despite that, I can see why Kai appeals to some people, it's just not my kind of name.

I really dislike Kai, a lot. Samuel is nice. I'd go with that as a first name and use Kai as the middle name if you must.

Friend of mine just had a Malachi (not in Australia). I was sliiightly NOOOOO but only because it was on the short list of names DH and I both like.

I also like Mordecai which cuts easily down to Cai. But DH does not. sad.gif

Mordecai immediately makes me think of the cartoon The Regular Show. I've never heard it elsewhere?

I thought the same thing.
FWIW I like both those name but together they just look too much like Koh Samui.

First thing that came to mind was Koh Samui? But its a nice enough combo with Samuel spelled like that IMO
