Wow didn't think I'd be next to update in here , but. ....

Please say Hello to my happy and healthy girl : Mia Pearl

Born 19th feb 2013 at 3.14pm

Weighed 3.03kg and 50cm long.

38 +1 gestation.

After having more amniotic fluid leaking last Sunday I was given 48 hours to spontaneously birth or go on for an induction on Tuesday.  I had some cramping and more leaks but no contractions so headed of to the RHW at 7am on Tuesday.

The drip was in by about 9am and contractions started about 11am. I had an epidural at 1.30 ppm when I was about 3cm flayed and by about 2.30 pm I was already fully dilated.

Just as my amazing DP saw the tip of her head he leaned up to tell me she would be here very soon and I had such an urge to push and she flew out.  By the time he turned back to look there was a little baby lying about 15cm from me!

Such a quick delivery with fantastic Midwives supporting us.  Those women are truly amazing.

Aminila Tommy is so cute! he looks so little next to Sophie La Giraffe

Serapod Ezra Theodore babyboy.gif  is a lovely name - as is Eleanor Beatrix  studybug babygirl.gif

Wondering if you had decided on the names before the birth or had a short-list on hand until after delivery?

#23 Studybug

Posted 06 March 2013 - 08:18 AM

Clarial - we had a lot of trouble agreeing on baby names the whole pregnancy.  We decided we'd just go in with a list of names (list incl my faves, DH's faves and a couple of okays we agreed on) then see which fit.  Still couldn't agree, so our poor little Eleanor was nameless for 2 days ohmy.gif .  I kept laughing that we hadn't named her, and at least we have 60 days to do so.
