DS is 6 months old now and has been on solids for a while now but I'm feeling stuck for ideas on what new solids to introduce especially seeing he has had a recent flare up of his reflux so I'm feeling quite cautious about introducing new foods.

So far he regularly has rice cereal, pumpkin, sweet potato, zucchini, pear, potato, banana (doesn't seem to like it) and carrot.  He has a lot of sweet potato and pumpkin in fact and I'd really like to start varying his diet a little more now.

As he has reflux I'm interested to know what others have found to be good and/or bad foods for their refluxy babies.  Also, did you find that the more you pureed it the better they seemed to take it (as opposed to offering it mushed up with a fork)?

He is prone to constipation and so far I've found the pears to be really good to help with this.  I give him this with rice cereal in the morning but too much rice cereal seems to contribute to the constipation so am now going to try giving him weetbix for breakfast instead.  Any other breakfast ideas?

Thanks :-)

My DS has silent reflux so I was just told to avoid anything that is acidic, like tomato or citrus. I didn't find anything was particularly bad/good for my bub...just be sure not to overfeed him as that's when he was most likely to bring up his food later.

For breakfast we do Farex mixed with pear, to help the constipation.
