Canberra hotel for girls weekend away

Well it's just one night actually, after a concert.  My friend from interstate is coming to visit me and this will kind of be a 40th celebration for me and an escape from my kids wink.gif

Looking for something with a bit of luxury and not too small. Twin beds obviously.  Was hoping for a bit of a view but the only one I can think of is Rydges Lakeside and that one is booked out for our dates.

Views are hard to come by in Canberra.
Diamont hotel is lovely.

If it's a Canberra quiet time you'll be looking in, try calling the visitor information centre? They set some of my visiting relatives up with beautiful views over the lake for ridiculously reasonable rates biggrin.gif .
