Hi Ladies,

I delivered my little boy via c-section last week and my feet and calves are now really swollen.it is really uncomfortable to walk and only thongs fit! My skin is stretched so tight it feels like I could spring a leak any second.... I had swelling during late pg but nothing like this! Is it normal? Should I see my GP or Obs about it or will time cure this craziness?

I too had swelling post my first CS, not so much the second. Check with your care provider, get them to check your blood pressure just in case. Mine went a bit haywire and I was dizzy etc. I don't think it is unusual though. Congrats on bub!

I had similar. I kept my feet elevated as much as possible and drank loads of water. My LC was a nurse so she kept an eye on it for me.

It wouldn't hurt to see a doctor.

I had it after c-section too. Feet up as much as possible OP. It can be awfully uncomfortable, my GP said it shouldn't last much longer than 10 days.

I had the same after DS was born, it sounds counter-intuitive but drink plenty of water and try to keep your feet elevated as much as possible. It went down after about a week or so.
