Sweaty hands and feet

Ever since I can remember I've had an excessive sweating problem called hyperhydrosis, particularly affecting my hands and feet. I'm not talking clammy here, I'm talking crazy stupid amounts of fluid just oozing out those little nerve endings.

It's such a horribly uncomfortable condition, and I have spent my life avidly avoiding physical contact with people, hugs, hands shakes, even exchanging money at the checkout I feared what people are thinking when they touch my hands. My palms would literally drip with sweat holding the phone. Walk in sand and I would have a foot covered in sand as the sweat would make it stick. So gross! And generally leaving me feeling unconfident and unhappy about myself.

And having babies, its made even worse holding them as then I sweat even more. Not to mention the fact that when you're producing the milk (and pregnant of course) your body temperature is warmer anyway so it was often a terribly awkward and horrible feeling! I'd soak their clothes through just holding them and gee, it's just such a yucky feeling, I'm sure for them as well as me! And as for wearing summer sandals/shoes I've learned through trial and error (and much wasted money as a teenager especially!) not to wear certain types as I'd just slip over in them like a spaz and be embarrassed. Caution on tiles as I would slip too, I'd often wear socks (and if out hot blinkin closed toe shoes which in turn would also mean not wearing a pretty summer dress like I'd want to!?!) in the dead heat to prevent slipping or leaving big muddy foot prints everywhere I stepped barefoot.

Over the years I've tried so many remedies and they have all had disappointing results. When i was a late teenager I even went on the hospital list for the surgery get the nerves cut to fix it, then chickened out for fear of even worse side effects elsewhere on my body. My mum recently (when we were talking about it all) said her and dad would even pay for it if I wanted to do the surgery now as they felt responsible for me having this condition.

Anyway, for Christmas my sister gave me this stuff she found in a shop called 'no sweat hands and feet'.

OH MY GOD!!! It's amazing. The first time I used it, I missed my fingertips and they sweated but the rest of my hand did not. Very weird feeling but I realised just how effective this stuff was.

Amongst other ingredients it has ethanol and aluminium chloride in it, which I believe don't get absorbed by the body but act as a shield  to the pores and block the nerve endings from releasing the sweat and redirect it elsewhere in the body. From what I've read and heard, there are no side effects except maybe dry hands!!! You apply more/less depending on the effectiveness and if you're overdrying your skin. It only needs to be applied at night so people wouldn't even know that you need to use it, and you don't have to reapply through the day (as some other remedies you do)

I had to pass it on in the hope that it might help someone out there that feels just as gross as I did from hyperhydrosis. If I can help give one person relief from this uncomfortable condition I will be so happy! If you know someone that suffers from this please pass on this info:
