Why do you think

As title says.. It wont connect to itunes!!!!!

Have you updated to a more recent version of Itunes?

That was my problem.

How full is your ipad? I know with my old phone it would not connect to back up when it was full. Particularly iPhoto.

its 1 week old... so no updates and has nothing on it.
I did connect the other day to add some games for my boy ( his ipad for education ect)
The games have since been deletes so nothing on it.

There was an update for iTunes on the computer a couple of days ago, check that your computer has the most recent version of iTunes on it. Double check your USB cable and if all else fails then a hard reset of the iPad might help - hold down the top button until it asks you to swipe to turn off then connect it to the computer while powered down.

Also are you connecting it to the same computer or a new one?
