First use of bamboo steamer

I bought a double bamboo steamer from House yesterday and just figured there would be instructions saying what to do with it before use. But there's nothing! Just the steamer in there!
So can anyone tell me what I need to do before using it for the first time? Do I need to wash it? Steam it for an amount of time before putting anything in it?
Any tips would be much appreciated!

I bought the same one.
I was just told to give it a quick soak before the first use. I did this, and let it air dry for a few hours.

I'd just give it a rinse to get rid of any shop dirt and away you go.
